Title: Before I get to invested in this idea...
Post by: Wallace on March 29, 2011, 09:00:44 pm
This map is basically a ziggurat with attackers spawning 360 degrees around the keep with offset stairs for crowd control purposes

may add 4 openable gates for maxmimum chaos

Here's a construct image so you can have an idea of where i'm going with this

Hmmm. My experience with small castles says that they are practically indefensible. You either have to funnel attackers through a handful of chokepoints or make sure that they need longer than 30 seconds to reach the flag, otherwise they will quickly swarm it. I had to update Holmet Castle many times because of this.

You could always make stairs going underground in the courtyard and put the flag hidden below in a defensible room/maze. I like the idea, but I am concerned that a single ladder will mean a quick jump to the flag.
