Nope, we got bored of strat for different reasons, i simply don't want to play anymore. Not as big faction, not as small faction. We had our fun of strategy and battles. All on our side think they won strat 2 times already, goal achieved.
I don't know how it works in ur clans but in DRZ if vovka, me and archer don't do anything, nobody will make any factions on strat. Like last strat when we left, all left.
We even offered players who want to keep going and give them resources, but nobody tried to do anything. DRZ is like one whole mass. Why do u think we have good subordination and organisation? its all or nothing.
We not going to step down or split up, the only thing i see happening is that at some point - when we decide - we'll quit.
RPing with small factions, not making alliances to fill a roster, not trying to win, not doing all u can is boring as fuck to us. We already pulled punches, not going full rampage, defending when we could attack - just to preserve our enemies, this is already spoils everything for us.

Same we try to do in other games. Not always successful like in ark :))) (too impatient, trying to kill everyone with 50 bullets in the pocket) While in LIF we killed everyone everywhere while outnumbered. And had same conversations in game chat like on this forum. RP is boring, making artificial wars boring too.

I think grey order thinks somehow similar, but its for them to describe.

Ok thats fair enough Nebun - point made and I can understand it

Then I guess whats left for you is either to attack us (which I honestly dont know why you havent already done) or to just quit strat and count it as a win?

Grandmom, i would like to end it as soon as possible too :) it was fun, but i got bored of it. And I keep going only because of others who wants to play in our clan and that game needs to come to some kind of ending.

Btw me leaving somewhere wouldn't change anything since vovka and archer kmc is 1231414124123211 times better at strat then i am.
+ I would never leave DRZ for any reason :) Best clan ever for me.

I understand nebun, but by saying you and me should start a faction I meant other leaders aswell, or we could just step down completely - I know Vovka and Archer KMC is good at strat, prolly some other guys that usually seem to do stuff in your clan aswell. You dont need to leave the DRZ, I just mean that DRZ doesnt have to play strat to still be DRZ in your ts - I am guessing the community in your ts is the DRZ, and that DRZ are playing other games aswell together.

You got bored of strat, I got bored of strat and we both know why - so why not fix it?

Possibly true , but UIF won't split up into smaller factions cause they want to play together cause they are small community, unfortunately for us too big of a small community.

Well, I think it has mainly to do with the strat leaders of the UIF - if they would have stepped down and let others take their place like all other old faction leaders did it wouldnt be a problem. I mean where are the old antiuif clans now and if they are still here who is leading them? Rogue? Alpha? Kinngrimm? Ramses? Blueberry? - they are all gone, and so are the clans they lead.

So, antiuif is full of more or less full of mostly new players that has very little experience of strat mechanics, trade, gear for armies, what to loom, what not to loom, what to discount and how much, how speed is calculated, old tricks, prosperity and so on and so on. This is a good thing, if they were fighting equally inexperienced clans they would stay, but now they leave

(cause people don't show up, which you can't do much about) => losin hope, leaving strat and without them there won't be any strat going on.

I disagree, I think it would be pretty easy to fix, what u see on the map now are small factions popping up, there would be more small factions doing this if it werent for the big blocks, and the small factions would be able to do more individual stuff if they werent tied up to either side of the big war. We have the Scums, the mongolian, the Normands, the "Butans" in Chaelbeck castle, Rhaegar+friends, Herkuttati (+prolly no friends), Sandor Clegane+possible friends (Kelredan castle), Pandemona in Shapeschte and so on. I know others that left the game that would come back and start a small faction, and i know several that fight in our faction that would like nothing more than to leave and do their own thing.

Thats 8 small factions owning fiefs, and I dont know if there are more out there that dont own fiefs. If Northern alliance were to break up I am sure that Vanguards would be one rather large faction compared to the others I mentioned above, the independents, the DRO, the Barabes and perhaps some other guys aswell. Northern alliance could break itself up within 24 hours if we needed/wanted to - there is no purpose for that alliance other than trying to withstand the UIF.

Im sure that if the leaders of the UIF would step down, the minions of the UIF would rise up and try their own ideas for strat, start smaller factions (like polanie did) and try to make it on their own in strat.

So, once strat gets interessting again, once the small clans actually can try out the game, perhaps even guys that havent played strat at all, or perhaps have only been trading or grinding for some major power - suddenly they can think "I am gonna get me a fief, and see what I can do with it".

Battles wouldnt be plated ones, they would be smaller, diplomacy would matter again and EU would turn more into NA in many ways - which would be better for strat overall.

And to let this happen, by itself - we just need to break the big blocks up and let new leaders come forth that have the energy and the will to make new alliances and enemies.

Rosters would come with it, 2 months ago there was more people than slots in the roster cause strat was still interessting - it isnt anymore

Its okay for me, I need a human opponent in Multiplayer Campaign to make it really worth my while; so until I find one, I wont play a lot. I cant play too long against AI only, I get burned on his stupidity real quick.

Will still geek it out until I learn all there is in the game

I would be up for that - Dwarfs are my thing, since I used to play them on the actual tabletop game like 20 years ago or so :)

So the current state of the game is entirely the responsibility of those that are the least involved with it?

I would say no, the responsability lies with them that can make the change happen - the change that would provide fun for players and make them come back without having to chase them in every ts and in steamchats. The responsability lies with people that leads the factions.

The regular soldier fights cause its fun - take away the fun and he leaves in due time

I'd give strat 1 to 4 weeks. We either kill each other or stop playing because bored or roster problems. Need mele battlegrounds - alpha/beta soon before everyone run off and hide in their cave.

You have the key to making this strat come alive again Mr.Nebun (the wall being the UIF):

i blame them :( and our own
all was so enthusiastic first month, and now everyone is busy with other games. "Fuck off we playing DOTA" is what i get most of the time when i'm trying to get some players to sign up :D So much hard work and no appreciation

If you start a small faction with me Nebun - we both dissolve the larger factions and mix some shit up in strat it would:

1. Come alive
2. Be fun
3. Draw people to battles
4. Break the ever lasting UIF/antiuif stuff that kills strat

The only problems about it is - it wont happen cause you "cant fight friends". If I can fight friends without endangering friendship - then so can the UIF. I have no issue with neither Hobo or Kratos for leaving the antiuif.

Forget about forcing DOTA players to join - they would join on their own free will if they found it fun - which they did in the beginning of strat. Players leave cause its not fun, its that simple. Bring back the fun and people start playing again.

I know how you feel, I will fight with you this afternoon and give you more chance.
Still, the battles you talk about were balanced, even slight roster advantage for attack. You speak of Khudan and Ichamur last sieges, right? 25v20 and 15v10 is fair. What would you have said if UIF had really applied in defense and 50 people were staring down at you? Everything is up to the people, if they want something bad enough they will get it. You can never die on strategus, only lose hope.

Not really, I had no special fights in mind - its more of a general tendency - people just dont give a fuck anymore cause they are bored, and I cant say I blame them :)

I meant 20 people in AI defense is low average for important fiefs. It is just some people wanting to give you a fair fight, not an organised resistance.

Kudan today has sofar almost double the roster on AI defence, organised or not - it doesnt really matter Butan

Time seem to be up for strat 6, much like strat 5 was at about this time. I see alot of hard working guys trying to make the game interessting by making trade, buying gear, grinding troops, planning defence and offense but I see them going away one by one, losing interesst cause of exactly what Seroth is writing above - I dont blame them.

I dont even blame the ones that joined the UIF earlier, and I am not gonna blame the small factions on the map that all sign up for the UIF, cause they are afraid to get the UIF against them in the rosters - "Sorry, we cant sign up against the UIF or help you in the AI battles, cause then we get UIF as enemies and then we cant win battles"

less grind they said... more battles...

Yes, its strange isnt it - why wont people play stratbattles anymore? Why do people stop moving on the map and stop attacking stuff?

I think we need to call some sort of consultant that can figure this mystery out......connect the dots so to speak. I mean we had more than full rosters the first two months of strat and suddenly they are gone??

Its almost as if strat 6 turned into strat 5 somehow......cant for my life understand why that is......
