Junk food is cheap. There's a reason why there's so many poor peeps in USA that are fat. Living healthy (really healthy not just calories counting) is way more expensive than cheap junk food.

Nonesense... meat only twice a week, vegetables for soups and shit... people just need to learn how to prepare food "grandmother" style.
Buying 2 frozen pizza is more expensive than preparing a proper soup for 2 or 3 days.

It's different in the US. Delicious cheap fried chicken that's cheap compared to expensive vegetables, meat, greek yogurt, brown rice, whole weat pastas, oatmeals other raw foods etc...

Unless you're gonna shove tons of carbs that's not from veggies into ur ass then ur fucked if u skip meat. And a small vegetables soup will contain so little calories. So yeah it's doable if you wanna get on dat Auschwitz diet.

Well, I admit, I have no clue about MURRICAN prices on vegetables like carrots, potatoes, onions of different kinds and stuff.
So, yea, maybe it is the other way around than it is in Germany. But here, you can easily prepare a proper soup with some animal fat in it for like 5€ which ends up being a good lunch for 3 days at least. If you don't wanna eat it for 3 days, just prepare it and freeze potions of it for the next week or something.

It's actually more of a social issue in Germany that low-income families tend to eat fast food over self-prepared food. Most of the times it's not a time issue... Different story.

Besides, I am not talking about some silly sporty health food. Normal rice is good enoug, normal pasta does the job, so does normal yogurt...

I was under the impression that we were talking lunch... is there even fast food for breakfast?
Guess we misunderstand each other due to terminology being different and we both assume that our food habits are the same for everyone.

My daily food generalized:
Breakfast: some rather light wheat bread with various topping, can range from marmelade to cold cuts and cheese.
Lunch: main meal of the day, warm, just lunch, e.g. soup
Dinner: some rye bread with various toppings, mostly cold cuts and cheese

That's it. That's what I eat over the day... Now and then a sweet in front of the tv, not daily, twice a week maybe.

Another important thing: I am sitting in front of a desk most time of the day. A contruction worker probably needs more.
