OP here. Thanks for your guys' input. Being new to this i wasn't aware that glancing was such an issue with low ps builds. Looking into the broad one handed battle axe as my replacement weapon. Sticking with light strange armor, And using a better crossbow. Any further critiquing is much appreciated.

If you are going for an axe, take the iron war axe, does more damage and is just better imo.

I also see that you are going for the xbow, I would just dump that weapon if you only go for 50 wpf.

With 120 1h and 29 in CB, is there a way to salvage my crossbow skill while still being efficient with axes?

If you start pumping everything into xbows from now on, than maybe.
Else I'd just respec if I were you if xbow will be your main wep.

current build is working pretty well, thanks for all the tips guys. My final question is if there is any reason i shouldn't get the final crossbow (areblast i believe) once i can afford it

The arbalest is 2 slots so you won't be able to use a sword and shield unless you use a zero slot weapon.
