I wouldn't move to detroit just yet. The city needs to fix it's corrupt system first. This recent Bankruptcy will go a long way to helping somewhat in that area, but hurts it in others.

I'm glad Indianapolis didnt become  the car city of the US. I remember seeing pics of countries weve given money to then comparing the pics to detroit. The one of Japan and Detroit was awful.
