i know a guy whos completely lost in stone age and helped a Danish university with studies. he can make Flintstone axe heads exactly like they did back then. he also did some studies in some bows and made an ashwood bow with arrow fittet with flintstone arrowhead. when I was younger I use to sit with him while he was crafting and I was all fascinated every single time... some raw ugly flintstone and then he hammers it with another stone and voila axe-head. not all stones can be used. most is damaged by frost and will crack just hitting it once or twice. searching for a suitable stone can take hours or days. when you find one of suitable size - take another stone and knock it once and the sound will tell if its damaged or not. I don't know how sound is but that's how they do it.
the bow turned out to be not so good. he made it too thick and lacked spring effect. but the arrow was really epic. made exactly how we belive they did back then and with the same tools they could have at their disposal. wish I could show some pictures :/ he sat for hours and using a tool he made from antlers he pinned (lack correct term lol) the arrowhead out from a very flat piece of flint from the axehead making. if you haven't watched the creation of stoneage tools and weapons you should go ahead and watch it some day you are in the mood :) its incredible fascinating. its like the blacksmithing, sooo primal and manly :)

Yeah, creating a metal bar out from dirt is just amazing.

But all the work with it, especially using traditional methods. Sheesh, even thinking about it gives me a feel I'm sweating.

aye blacksmiths back in the day must have been huge brutes not someone you would jump on for a fistfight for the lols he would break you in two

Sick, that red hot metal is so pretty  allthough I have always been more of a fan of plain handles, no snazzy dragon head shit  but the possibilities are endless, just make a bloody mould and whoop! :D

yeah me too, I still prefer the ulfberth. however I still think that this blade finish, despite the fantasy crap you mention, is pretty awesome anyway. I wouldn't mind if someone gave it to me, it would be a keeper but not in a zillion years would I pay for one :p

Ahh Kratos. The most complicated, fucked up in the head, murderous videogamecharacter who ever exsisted. My favorite character of all. Cause he is evil...well....not completely, his good...well no.....favk.

Kratos, although complicated is hardly the most complicated of them all.
