I was there, and can confirm the very, very suspicious nature of Egad's death. Egad was defending an equipment box and wasting equipment, both things that are still participating and not delaying. Canary used the show names cheat and all of the sudden, Canary is the one killing him.

Yeah, as someone who has fought for just about everyone at one point or another, to me the commanding of the battles has a lot more to do with winning than necessarily the merc skill level.
To make it more specific with say FCC, when Bale is there, the battles go better. Bale does a better job at keeping the melee in some organized fashion. In one of the recent field battles where Bale was bound at an enemy forward spawn, no one was really there to get melee organized and subsequently we were all over the place and losing more tickets then we should have.
Occitan is another good example when they have like Arowaine and Bonsai(I think it was, could have been Inglorious) leading. Everything is mostly in order with the occasional 2H hero running off.

....are you trying to imply this game should be realistic?
A game where people in full armor can jump and do 360's with a pike, a game where you can be shot with 5 arrows and it not even take you below half health, a medieval war game littered with two handed heroes?

Several people have been given or offered fiefs from FCC with no strings attached, myself included. You can also add Arowaine/Occitan making that kind of offer as well so at least some of the larger clans do understand that getting upstart clans a spot helps overall.
Also, agreeing with Smoothrich. For better or worse, play the game and have fun. As a former member of both LLJK and BIRD clan, you know clans that actually had wars, it's more fun to go down fighting than sitting in fiefs doing nothing except muttering "That mean ole Kesh, I will show him!"

« on: June 11, 2013, 03:38:37 pm »What urks me though: on the 11 pm EST Acre battle - who was the Deserter (?) guy deliberately griefing us and spawning and wasting multiple construction sides? Will anything be done about that? Not that it would have made a tremendous difference in the end, but we could certainly have done better.
You would need to post a ban thread with pics or people confirming it and hope for the best since that has been expressly against the rules for several strat rounds.
PS - Bale, please enjoy Canary holding a grudge against you for 6 months.
