Suggestions Corner / Farewell to annoying weathers

-In warband multiplayer, there are mostly sunny maps. (And for good reason)
-In singleplayer, you can fight on every type of weather.


-In warband multiplayer, you either play the current or join another server if you don't like the map.
-In warband singleplayer, you can fight in what type of weather you want to fight; since it's a sandbox type of game. You can pick the destination, time and weather.


In crpg, there is only one server. The weather and daytime is random. You either play that shit or wait for 30 minutes for the weather to pass up.


No one likes fog, no one likes rain, no one likes nighttime and possibly other shit. (Am I wrong in this one?)

So:
Just remove these weathers from the database so we can play at will maybe?

Beginner's Help and Guides / 2 Hander cavalry - Weapon of choice

I might play with an alternative character as 2hander cavalry. I was thinking of using Lon iron mace at first, but then I saw Persian Battle Axe with 49 cut damage :shock:

I can get a +3 weapon, so it's 35 blunt versus 52 cut.

What are your thoughts on it. What kind of weapons would be better for 2hand cavalry nowadays? Those 2 seemed particularly good to me.

At the moment we have some periodic auctions. Such include "training lessons", "Heirloom exchange", "Exclusive Banner", "Blacksmith services" etc. You get what I'm talking about.

Why are they auctions after all? Why can't they be bought off from a shop for some "hefty" prices?

Program arama kısmına cmd yazıp çıkan yere tracert 176.57.143.15 ve ping 176.57.143.15 komutlarını deneyip buraya paylaşmanız. Bir de sunuculardaki pingleriniz nedir onu da yazın.
Belki benim sorunum çözülürken ping sorunu olan diğerleri var ise, onlara da yardımcı olabiliriz.

Game Balance Discussion / Internal bow balance

My proposal for bows is the following:

I tried to carefully plan it out. You will disagree with some of them (such as horn bow having the best missile speed), but I tried to keep every factor in mind. I didn't want to nerf archery in general. Low tier bows are just a bit worse than high tiers in missile speed now, which makes them good support weapons for their cost since they still keep their attack speed and damage. It is now also easier to dodge arrows. Plus these changes also doesn't make long bow easier to use, as tydeus wanted; and which I also agree with.

Last suggestion is to make +3 bows a bit better compared to +0 versions. At the moment, there is almost no point in looming them. Old difference was too huge, but there has to be at least some difference to make +3 bows worthwhile. Plus, archery has became the best class for the first gen because of this fact. Everyone want less archers right? This change will not render them useless, but will not encourage them to start as an archer character either.

cRPG Technical problems / High ping problem - 300k reward

My normal ping should be below 60, but these days it isn't. In fact I have different pings on different servers and it always seem to be changing from time to time. It also seems to be pretty unstable. 65 first, 67-68 a couple of minutes later, going high to 103 and then 67 again. Some thing gotta be happening.

I know it is not normal, cause I remember I had 51 like a month ago. Just help me to raise it lower. I want to be able to play normally. Anything below 60 ping is really fine for me.


Just babysit me through the necessary steps and earn 200k. If you provide some useful help, I can also offer you 50k. I would offer more, but I want to play the game with the equipment I worked hard to get.

cRPG Technical problems / Beta client expired

Yesterday everything was fine (everything except my ping of 120... cough cough), now this morning I'm having this error. "This beta client has expired" whenever I try to launch crpg from the launcher.


Also some of my settings seem to be messed up a bit. The clock was showing 03:23, when it was actually 11:07. My antivirus program disallowed me to visit sites like google.com. My steam is not opening no matter what I do. etc.


Does Anyone have any knowledge with this?

After many years, bots in DTV has finally succeeded... It was easy at first for the defenders. First came some rabble from the farmlands and a couple of hired thugs, then the nomads who were coming out from the steppes. It was easy at first, but more and more professional soldiers applied for the job. After some time, even the nobility sent their men to kill the viscount. All tried, all failed. Until that day.

1th January 1402, a bloody day in Calradia. The picture was terrible beyond imagination. Scattered remains of 30 defenders, even more dead bodies armoured with gothic plate and the head of Valdemar on a spike. This... was the end of DTV.

Swadian King Harlaus ordered the royal inspector, to look into the subject. He investigated into it, followed the money to find out who was behind the murder. All the trails were pointing towards one person. It was chadz himself!

The Swadian King decided to avange him, but his political benefits were prohibiting him from being directly involved with the subject. So he came up with a similar idea the viscount had. He hired 30 avengers and ordered them to kill chadz. Of course it is not going to be an easy task, as chadz were being defended by an elite band of warriors; if one could ever reach that far to say the least. As to reach chadz himself, one must kill all the other developers first, so chadz will be forced to go out of his heavily protected fortress to act about the subject. There was no other way.

So, 30 warriors left Praven that night. To begin a difficult journey...

General Discussion / A way to limit the amount of classes...

So everyone says that the amount of ranged, cav, etc. are a problem. I have an idea:

Unlocks Riding skill

Silver premium account:
$19.99
Unlocks PD skill

Golden premium account:
$29.99
Unlocks HA skill


So it will make playing those classes as lame as they should be. It will also limit the amount of classes in servers.

Strategus General Discussion / Seafaring and Seabattles discussion

It has been asked what we want for strategus 5, and seabattles were among the wanted features. Yet, no one actually made an indepth explenation of how it should be done. Now, no one really knows if there is going to be seabattles or not, in the next strategus round but I believe we can discuss on it. Because the feature needs to be carefully planned before getting added and for that reason only, the devs might simply skip it. Because it is impossible to add it just like that:

1- The current map, map of calradia, simply introduces no use for sea travel. If sea battle and seafaring is to be introduced, not really much people would use it in my opinion. Because it is a bit pointless.
2- How should seabattles be done? Should it be a scene consisting of 2 ships in the middle of a sea (already boarded), should it be done like in vikingr (ships going on a straight pattern), or like in PWmod (2 people controlling the ship). Given the strat fights system (flags), only the first system is possible I think. Since it might not be possible for flags to travel with the ship, but who knows.
3- Troop to ship ratio. This part is also related to the second issue. For example, it would be a bit weird to make a 2000 vs 2000 fight in two small ships. Ah there is also the part where it is practically impossible to load 2000 men to a ship, logicwise.


My suggestions would be:
1-Expanding the map of Calradia a bit, adding different islands, and maybe reshaping the main continent to have it some kind of an inner sea and some lakes, rivers etc. Also making trades that has to consist sea travel, more rewarding would have been a good idea. Of course, a map of Europe would be well fitting too.
3-Also, making it so that every party that is on sea to have [ships + troops], where a single ship can carry no more than 100 men. So every party would have been a fleet.
2-About the battles, the system can take the number of ships in both fleets and open a relevant scene for the battle:

-2 ships in total: a scene with 2 ships boarding each other in the middle of a sea (Like this, this was a played map by the way)
-3 ships in total:  a scene with 3 ships boarding each other in the middle of a sea
-4 ships in total:  a scene with 4 ships boarding each other in the middle of a sea
-5-6 ships in total:  a scene with 5 ships boarding each other in the middle of a sea
-6-9 ships in total:  a scene with 6 ships boarding each other in the middle of a sea
-9-20 ships in total:  a scene with 9 ships boarding each other in the middle of a sea
-20+ ships in total:  a scene with 20 ships boarding each other in the middle of a sea

So for example, a fleet of 12 ships versus 10 ships; the battle takes place in the "20 ships scene". The scene is completely static by the way.

Numbers are arbitrary of course.


For battles, I'd actually prefer the system that is in PWmode (1-2 guys controlling the ship), but I fear it might be too much work for organizing flags. So I left that idea out. But indeed a battle with 5 moving ships versus 5 moving ships would be, beyond amazing.

So lets discuss. There might be other problems too, but those 3 were the only ones I could think of.

MoTF in most of the maps need to be changed, with the new system they sometimes spawn too closer to one of the teams; leaving the other at a big disadvantage.
