I stopped by these forums expecting them to be completely dead, but I had a chuckle seeing a few of you rambling on here. I want you guys to know, even if I never played on a server with you (NA here), I've not yet been part of another small community quite like cRPG. It truly was something special, to come online after work or school and see the same 100ish people every night. Three of the handful of good friends I have made online were from this game.

I remember having a lot of bad times on this game too, but you need the bad to make the good stand out. I believe one reason we remember old video games fondly is because we miss our lives as they were, when we had played that game. I was an angsty teenager for the majority of my playtime, but now I'm being an angsty adult by posting this feely shit.

To anyone who reads this I wish you well. I'm feeling a bit nostalgic because it's getting late here. Carry on and take pride in your skills in future fighting games. Be humble because there is always someone better. Welcome new players as this mod did most of the time, and fight your friends battles with them - even if they have worse gear and are outnumbered.

Dalfador from NA 1 here, I compiled a few clips over weeks of gameplay to make this 17 minute video. show's ootws perspective of when we all hop on archers and the server cusses us out, but it also shows some melee footage.
It's edited with the occasional meme, and you get to hear me giggle and wheez like a fat nerd. so if you could watch this so I don't have to cry myself to sleep tonight thanks.

General Discussion / cRPG - Archery Firing Line

We got a few players together and made archery stf's today, and i captured some of it and edited into a video for your enjoyment. it gets a bit better towards the middle. I suggest going to youtube and watching it in 720p there.

Suggestions Corner / Pseudonym in duel server as well

So we have pseudonym's for strategus battles, but how about a pseudonym for the entire duel server as well?

I'll list some pros and cons, along with some scenarios where they would be useful or detrimental.

Pros:
+ You lie about not being around for a battle because you want to sign up for the other side. Without this, you wouldn't be able to play in any server without a nosy person spotting you.
+ You have the ability to be completely anonymous for those heated duels, where let's face it, slurs and anger are abundant (whether meant to hurt or not).

Cons:
- Someone could repeatedly join the server under new pseudonyms, and farm the points from ranked duels from unsuspecting players expecting a totally new fight.
- Pseudonyms could be offensive, let's face it: we have seen some offensive pseudonyms, but the punishment is less severe to none, because they are only temporary.

Thoughts?

General Discussion / I had a nightmare, about cRPG last night

So I normally go 18/18 with my builds, and in my dream, I put in the last point to achieve 18 strength, and the numbers transformed into 15/21. I started panicking and clicking all the plus icons to make it go back, but it was no use. The damage was done.

That's all I can remember, any of you ever dreamed about cRPG?

During a late night across the land of Calradia, Dalfador peered out from the walls of Reyvadin, seeing if it was safe to escort his caravan of defenseless orphans across the plains, to refuge in Tilbaut castle. Scouts reported in of an Astralis scout party further off in the eastern mountains. The Grandmaster looked to the starving orphans, depending on the income of this caravan to feed both them and their families. He knew he had to try, or many of the orphans would not make it through the winter.

And so it happened. Leading the caravan at the front, Dalfador stepped off of his white stallion and walked, to show that he was no more important than the lowest of class there. The caravan left the safety of Reyvadin. Moving at a mere 11 KMH. The orphans had to work hard to tote the many goods around.

While the Grandmaster was watching a documentary about the horrors of SeaWorld at about one in the morning, the barbarians decided it was time to mobilize their raiding party. Once finished with his documentary at about two thirty in the morning, Dalfador spotted the party approaching swiftly, and immediately ordered the turn around of the caravan. He put an orphan boy on his stallion, and slapped it back to Reyvadin, instructing the boy to have the gates ready for a swift entrance. Laughing to himself, Dalfador said, "These dogs think the Grandmaster old and senile. I will not have this party butchered by a group of mongrels."

And so the chase ensued for a long while... the Astralis party only Kilometers behind, Dalfador prepared a militia just incase. Their weapons? Ruined clubs and Ruined Practice Longswords; the caravans have had to make due with what they can, while the army receives the superior gear.

With the gates of of Reyvadin in the distance, it was now sunrise and Dalfador spotted the orphan boy (strangely now wearing 19th century spanish swashbuckler garb, wielding a rapier in one hand) rearing the White Stallion atop the walls of the city.

Dalfador shed tears of joy as the Caravan passed through the gates, avoiding a massacre.

Suggestions Corner / Add item gifting on the website's mail system

Would this be possible? I'd love to gift some of my friends a loom for the holiday season. You could add a 1k gold tax on it, so you cant just do it infinitely. I know I could put up some stones on the marketplace and have them get the item, but I like the surprise element.
