I heard several EU explicitly say that Strat was broken and EU wanted a reset, NA didn't want a reset, so EU wanted to ruin NA Strat/make them quit so that they'd want a reset.

Also EU failed at PR which is needed in Strat.

Besides EU doesnt want battles, they want the crpg.net site to say that there was a battle and that their faction won. It's why they always quit when the battles don't go well.

Different people may have had different goals for sure and all I can speak for is my own perspective. We were enemies before the invasion you know... We had a completely different plan with Kratos for this Strat. Then it bugged out, we lost our army and our goods and decided to quit like the Tormatuns who found out about the bug (which according to Professor was used by NA first btw).

I've compared this NA invasion to the Iraq war which went about as well. There was this idea to just attack NA but no plan on how to do it and what to do afterwards. The reason there was no plan because everyone just assumed it was going to be reset/rolled back any day as Prof said he would. That was couple of weeks ago now. You can say that's failed PR but there was never supposed to be any of that anyway from my understanding. I don't know if the others tried to reach people or not, I certainly didn't.

For us all of this is disappointing and people are angry and frustrated and the comments reflect that at times. cRPG on EU is completely dead now and the dev team seems to have no interest in doing anything about it. Strategus mechanics are all broken and again there's no interest in trying to fix any of these. And when trying to talk to people about these problems you get called a crybaby and banned from discord when you sink to the same level of argumentation yourself. I don't know why I even bother to read and write on the forums anymore tbh, it's just hard to let go I suppose.

At fifteen, I had the will to  learn ; at thirty, I could stand ; at forty, I had no  doubts ; at fifty, I understood the heavenly Bidding ;  at sixty, my ears were opened ; at seventy, I could  do as my heart lusted without trespassing from the  square..

Yeah, how DARE the NA scrubs sign against the guys taking their feifs at noon on a workday? The GALL of some players... so UNGRATEFUL for these free battles being provided.

This is where we don't see things the same. For us it was clear we just wanted to get the garbage village battles that would take about 2 minutes anyway out of the way. On EU people usually don't reinforce a village so those are not real battles anyway and we assumed this would be the case on NA as well. We had one battle in a village during decent time for NA and it made zero difference. We lost nothing taking it:

Why should battles like these be pushed to good times when we can have the actual big battles at these times? The window where EU and NA can both fight is very small, that battle was 2:40AM for me...

And I thought I would miss something when I wasnt here for the reset...
Obviously some people just EU'd all the way and I am proud to say I wasnt part of it this time ^^

Props to NA. You guys keep showing up.

Your tl;dr is quite off I have to say. I'll give you the other version:

Strat is broken so half the EU quit. The other half thought it would be funny to invade NA for a bit before it's reset. Turns out it wasn't fun. Strat is still broken. Quit.

Imagine contradicting yourself in your own post

True. The battle list is a pain to go through as the fiefs change owner afterwards :( Also I somehow though you were with Acre. Sorry.

5
I have more than that by myself LOL

Oh right you mean those battles that no one even bothered to join. My bad, Strat was very alive. LOL

The whole point was to have a little bit of fun before Strategus is fixed and reset. It just wasn't much fun so that's it.

Well we achieved something I guess - we tripled the number of times an NA clan has attacked other player factions. It's now up to three (3) battles! One every two weeks almost, impressive.

Announcements / Re: Development update - April 2018

What people seem to forget is DTV is the best way to populate cRPG servers, a lot of time when they are enough players on DTV server a group is formed to switch to Battle servers. It's like a waiting room but with fun and killing DTV will consequently kill other servers.

Seems to be the exact opposite on EU in my experience. People see 20 players on EU7, 3 on EU1 and decide to play something else because DTV is garbage...

Can we just ban em all from strat for probably using gear they bought before that discount exploit was fixed?

No need to use that sort of bugs when the the whole thing is so bugged the PP increase was 48 times higher than it was supposed to be.

When it comes to battle times, these are just some silly village battles so far and I've seen people in Discord talking about how to make these battles work for both sides.

General Discussion / Re: the deve wipe?
« on: April 10, 2018, 09:48:41 am »
The core of what makes cRPG great is still there, and always been; customisation options compared to native, with its basic character progression system and its huge amount of items. IMO, understanding why the m0d is dead requires talking to people that are interested in it but don't play it, which is something I've done extensively, and in my experience the comments are always the same. Mostly "can't be fucked grinding to get to on par with the regular players", and the odd complaint about the turn rate nerf or other mechanics issues. We all know very well that it doesn't take too long to level up to a point where you can be competitive, but a lot of Warband players don't, and have written off cRPG because they want a more level playing field. When most of us here started playing, we had the luxury of not getting dumpstered by ultra high level players with fully loomed gear. It's not a great first impression when you play current cRPG, but if wiped, the impression this mod gives to the entire Mount and Blade community changes completely, and I think there's real potential to attract a decent amount of players before bannerlord destroys cRPG totally.

This is exactly my view of it currently as well. I've been against the wipe for a longest time, but I've changed my mind lately because of a couple of things. When everyone has loomed gear, the looms don't even matter anyway. I haven't played without +3 gear since forever and our armory isn't very impressive compared to some others... Same with levels. My lvl33 characters hardly have an edge anyway so why care about a wipe?

Imo the best course of action would be full wipe with some changes to some mechanics that you can then use to advertise the new and improved cRPG. As with all advertising, the change doesn't have to be big (or even really a change), just something you can bring up and hype the product. Change the turn rate nerf slightly for example. Same goes with Strategus which is still by far the biggest selling point of crpg. Start hyping in advance this changed Strategus with limited length rounds and new interesting mechanics and people will be interested. The crpg community itself is too small now to bring much change but the interest is clearly still there and crpg can still fill that void.

Turning down the PP production is one thing, wiping all progress thus far and restarting strat 7 from the beginning is another.

It's too late to turn down the PP production which is the problem. Some fiefs now have 3k production which is about twice as much as last strats were after a few years, lol.

Okay so let's respec all fiefs and set them to 300 PP? Well everyone will still have the silly amount of gear they already bought. Plates, greatswords, cav, everything. Nothing will fix these problems other than a full reset.

It was hard enough finding the motivation to do anything this strat at all, would really hate to see all the work we've put in get wiped away cuz a few EU nerds decided to try and game the system.

It's not only that but the whole PP increase is way out of whack. It's already the plate grind and NA has fought two actual battles from what I could see, both over some silly village in the north that one guy plays for memes. EU has had maybe 5-6 real battles and now everyone's going to be in plate, sitting in their castles.

What's the point of playing Strategus if it's just constant siege grind in full plate? Wouldn't playing EU2/NA2 do the exact same thing? People are running around with 6000 crates naked with no care in the world because even if they get attacked there's plenty more from where those goods came from. Villages make 1 point per hour when it should make maybe 3-4 per day and this is after it was lowered from the first few weeks being something like 3-4 times higher?

Strategus General Discussion / Re: Fief Number Poll

Reducing fief amount qill only reduce loomed gear and amount of silver.

Which is a good thing... Forces people to make good use of their points and makes controlling villages actually important, especially early game.

I always believed HA was one of the hardest classes to actually play effectively pre-nerf, now it is just a joke class that is outpeformed by every other on in the game.

But even though I enjoyed playing HA it really should stay that way to be honest, the class is extremely obnoxious and awful for every single player in the server except the one playing HA. It's sad but you can't have a class like that be powerful or it's just game ruining.

HA can be a huge help for the team harassing reloading xbows and archers, giving bump support for infantry being all around annoyance. They seem to be in a good place right now balance wise and not a joke class by any stretch of imagination even though it's pretty damn weak. Even I can top the scoreboard occasionally as HA and I'm not very good at it...

As for the counters, find an archer and hope he can hit the horse - arabian takes one arrow to kill...

Who are these superior NA horse archers btw as I've yet to see them in my hours of playing there? In fact the only really deadly HA I can remember in this game was Zibart or something (Zero-Sat).
