i made the played donkey’s model and can mess around in gimp and blender to make half assed textures (normals and specmaps are easier to do than diffuse though)
also this one time I tried increasing the polys on the Axe so it looks less trash but it didn’t get added lololol

Look, I get it you're angry as fuck about the OKAM fiasko. I'm not even saying you're wrong, if it meant so much to you, I guess it feels like something very dear to you died, as it did for many of us.
The simple and complicated reality is that we were passionate, but young and naive and inexperienced, and I made many passionate, naive and inexperienced, and possibly downright stupid decisions that ultimately culminated in OKAMs downfall and nearly the end of our story in this industry. I'm not proud of that, but it was the most valuable experience I've ever received, but I, like you, wish it wouldn't have come at a price like this. Feel free to call me a fucking idiot. I often think about at what point should I have done what differently to have avoided what happened.
What you call "intransparency" is one of the results of this, we don't talk about stuff we're doing anymore unless we're certain we can pull it off. Or, to be more exact, we'll talk about it after we've pulled it off.
We're not here looking for money, or your blessing. We're looking for someone passionate, but possibly young and naive and inexperienced, who wants to work on fucking video games. Who wants to really get into the core of it and understand how it all works. Who has dreams of making games because he thinks that's what he should do with his life. Because we can show him now, not everything, but a little bit, about how this whole thing works. And because I wish someone would have shown that to me.

You shouldn't look at okam as a failure. Like chadz said, it was a huge learning lesson and he gained valuable experience. I'm 100% positive chadz is using that experience and making sure his current game and team doesn't end up like OKAM situation. And seriously, you brain dead retards don't get it yet? The investors and publisher took over all game development and design at some point. They used their "game development experience" over chadz and fucked up the whole game. So, stop being dumb salty cunts and stop trying to figure out the situation.
Most of you are really uninformed about the gaming industry and what happens in the background. I've worked in this industry for 5+ years working with c-level executives, investors, produces, managers, and directors - I know how this shit works. Joining a small studio and team like the donkey crew is the best opportunity to dive into game development. You wouldn't get the same opportunity working for a AAA company or a small studio with a big name publisher like EA. You're a peasant to them, pulling a switch 8 - 10 hours a day working on a small part of game designed to generate money over fun, and your feedback don't mean shit even if you have created multiple successful titles. Also, you have to have experience to get those opportunities. chadz is open to mentoring passionate motivated individuals with NO experience.
If you're truly passionate about game development and want to get your feet wet, hit up chadz and pogoson or send them an email.

I have been playing c-rpg for the last 8 years of my life, with some breaks.
Yeah, I bought OKAM, and yeah I was dissapointed it failed, but not because I lost 20 euros, but because I wanted to enjoy a game that had great potential to be one of the best medieval games.
A lot of c-rpgers, including me, see those 20 euros as a small price for all the years that we have spent playing the mod.
A small price I dare day.

i find it really, really nutty when people are still intensely butt-flustered over the flop that was OKaM. i don't recall how many shekels i plunked down on it but it was probably 30 or so- even with the quite untimely death it wasn't hard to play 30-40 hours of fun while it was populated with starry-eyed spergs

Its nice to get an honest from the hearth explanation from chadz what was wrong, the very very tiny almost unnoticeable problem i see in that is its kind of 20-30 months to late (still within usual "donkey crew" answering limits). I mean if there was any community to appreciate and listen to it (and there was), it is well you know, how to say it... a little bit well... it is gone. Say there were many 13 year old kids back then, that's 21 yo today. Young sure But there large portion of us 30 somethings in here, we're not considered young by industry standards (filthy robojew zuckerberg wont hire anyone over 30 yo). Especially when were basically same age as mr ceo.
