Title: Rome II Multiplayer campaign -What mod to play?
Post by: Jacko on July 16, 2014, 04:25:15 pm
Hey guys, reinstalled Rome II, haven't played it since launch. Was planning to play it with a friend against each other in campaign mode.

Any good campaign mods you can recommend?

I use Radious mod off steam workshop which makes it bearable.

Faces still look like fucking zombies though.

Yea it works. But they add so many units its now imbalanced. You basically dont have elite units but they promise to balance it till ver 1.0. It is the best mod for Rome II thought if you want to try it go to their forum cos of newest patches its hard to say when steam version is compatible.

I use this too, its the best mod for unit diversity and challenging gameplay.

Here is my personal detailed mod list :
(all in standalone non-workshop files to avoid auto-updates and increase stability)

- DeI : of course

- anabasis diplomatic mod : avoid the "perma raging AI" when winning against him in wars.
(click to show/hide)

- dresden sack/liberate/diplomatic mod : add the possibility to create satrapy/client state/join confederation/liberate to every factions and their culture group.

- limited agent pack : 1 agent type maximum, whatever your imperium, no more agent spam (or very less so)

- bullgod icon : re-made unit icons, personal taste (you can find others who made packs for the DeI units which are very numerous)

It's a good choice to wait 1 year before playing a TW game.  :D

This is true especially for Rome II, and we still have a few months left.
