Only for those who prefer simulation:

If you're like Molly, into Grids and Dirts then avoid it like a plague. Force feedback steering wheel is a must! Vibration toys don't count.

The problem I'm having in pro league is that there's a lot more of those super long tracks (12km+). It takes a toll on your time because the AI is more consistent than you and it's hard to finish the track without a single fuckup somewhere along the track. Your car is also wrecked completely from such long tracks. Though it feels good to finish 1st-3rd on such a track 8-)

I just finished 7/8th track in Sweden (was ~12km) and my engine is making a weird noise, so is my co-driver yapping something about it. And the last track is 11km+ long as well... I wonder if I make it lol.

Also, I lowered my FOV to 0.3 (first person). You see less on the edges because it's more zoomed in but you also see more of the track in the middle and less of the inside of the car. Makes it easier to drive for me, I feel like it's more in line with how your view is in real life. Had it up at 0.7 before and I think my screen had more car than track.

Usually, accurate FoV is better in racing games. Your screen should give you view over the same angle as what it covers with respect to your sitting position. Of course, that's an extremely small FoV if you're not touching your screen with your nose, so a compromise has to be made. In rally you do need some view of your sides also.

Read 3 different tests... all 3 state that the car physic on Dirt Rally is better by a good margin. Not to mention that the above suffers from rather big technical issues.
But I am sure you played both extensively, you know better.

Would definitely like a Celica and a Lancer Evolution IV. But first, the Xsara WRC.

After updating my Oculus Rift runtime to 0.8, the game just decided to go into VR mode. I didn't knew they implemented that and it's fucking awesome. They still need to fix the ranking and setup screens in VR a bit but the driving part is pure pleasure. Being able to turn your head is tremendously useful in very tight corners, and the 3D effect gives me a much better feel for the size of the car and my speed.

I would take Skoda over them any day
No ABS, no assistance, it's just old, loud, indestrucitble diesel engine and you, smiling in banana yellow hatchback
