In all fairness that is retarded. How pissed off would you be if someone did that non-stop to you for 20 mins? Unless she did something very annoying in the first 10 mins of the game there isn't really an excuse for them acting like that.

Not pissed off at all. You can't get dumber than getting pissed off online at people who are trying to piss you off... way to play into their hand.

alright, so I'm a nub who played a little of dota, and a fair amount of the various dota clones in SC2.

What do I need to do to get started in DOTA 2?  Which hero or heroes should i focus on starting with so I don't constantly feed? Also, it says i have a spectator version of DOTA, will i need to do something to get up and running?

You can still get dota2 copies for free, nearly everywhere. During the next months they gonna release dota2 and end the "closed" beta.

Check out different dota2 pages and read some simple guides. Guides won't however teach you how to play, but you will ofc learn some stuff.
I'd advise newer players to stick with support heroes though, during the first time.
Buying couriers, wards and support items and not stealing kills or creep kills. That's rather easier to learn as beginner than a carry job (farming a high GPM or to counter each hero and carry the team). ;)

Yeah, there's just a fuckton of knowledge to consume when it comes to this game. And this is just beginner stuff practically
