Title: ACRE JOINS THE REALM OF THE GOBBLIN KING

As he awoke James felt odd, like something was different. He used his hockey stick to clear the empties from his desk as he went and sat overlooking the courtyard of Kelredan castle.

The castle was mostly asleep, aside from the half of the faction slumming in the whorehouse as well as Axeman and Bauer yelling obscenities at each other about the Trump campaign. Only a few guards walked the walls with torch in hand. It was a cold night and James wondered why he had awoken.

As he turned to look towards his liquor cabinet a ghastly apparition appeared. "King Reinhardt!" he gasped as he witnessed the wispy figure of the long dead King. Kneeling to bow in front of his old King James spoke" My Lord what brings you to me?". What had awoken this ancient spirit James wondered?

"There is one who can unite the land, a great warrior. He brings together the descendants of old and nobles houses. He was of Frisian bloodlines himself, now more beast than man he moves the war machines of old. I have foreseen the glories you will achieve under his banner. You must lead Acre to follow his warhorns, his memes, and bathe in the holy bloodlust for his is a holy crusade. His name is THE GOBBLIN KING" the Acre patriarch spoke.

Pondering the words of his King James noticed the ghost of the King was fading. "Deus vult" the ghost of the old King spoke before dissapearing. A clearer sign from the Gods James had not seen in years. He realized he could feel his blood turning, from what was once weak into something stronger, darker. He called for his Viceroy to be brought to him.

Upon Axemans arrival in the keep James spoke "I have seen the ghost of Reinini, he has foretold of a great crusade. We must leave the Despotate in search of the one known as THE GOBBLIN KING". Axeman replied "So it must be, let the great memery of our time begin."

Was this really a surprise to anyone? James would sign up on Gobblin side every battle as well as other members "Acre". Writting was on the walls.

Path of least resistance.

PS: More time to post on forums since puppet master pulls strings on Gobblin admins

Well, the reason why we fought side by side with the Goblins was, well the orders came annyway from the Despotate to sign in to theyre battles, so thats the reason. I fought a couple times against the Goblins, so what.

But why all the negativity?
If I remember it correctly, everybody hates Acre,
Everybody found themselfs better then Acre,
Everybody accused Acre of cheating.

So is it that bad that Acre joins a faction that has war with allmost all the NA factions?

"Well sir, they claim an old king long deceased, King Reinhart, came to King James of Acre in a vision claiming that only through the Gobblin realm could the lands of NA be united."

"Well how bloody convenient for the Gobblins. James happens to see a vision of King Reinhart who was for holy crusades that says only through the Gobblins can the lands be united through a crusade. Some damn witchcraft is at hand here for that to occur."

"Send out the witch hunters. Get the armies ready and tell Kale I want extra potatoes for dinner."

"Aye sir", the messenger said as he rushed out the door unsure why he was also the messenger for the Despot's dinner order.

Good luck to you James. Even if a false vision has led you astray from the greatness that is the Despotate.

I actually liked Acre.  Not everyone hated.  They were a noob friendly clan, with awesome uniforms and great roleplay flavor.  I used to be in Acre.  I can only wonder what Reinhardt would say if he were really here.

I still like Acre.  I implore you to reconsider.  Think on it.

Outside of that, I have faith in the Gobblins, and what they stand for.  Violence, unending war, big juicy XP battles.  Once everyone (or almost everyone) on the map is conquered, I have faith that Gobbs will do the right thing.  They will have to implode and attack themselves.  Attacking EU would be kind of lame cuz ping...so a grand civil war is the only logical outcome.  I will welcome it when that time comes.  It is inevitable.

Until then, game on!

Almost forgot:

14. Intentionally griefing/cheating by wasting tickets and spawning with extra gear for attackers side in the dhirim battle.  Went 0-18 (I know James is terrible, but I went melee as archer with no wpf and still got 6 kills)  A number of acre guys did the same.  That is straight up low-brow cheating.  Pretty damn gay!

Troops, silver, we all did that by oureselfs, heck, I remember that I gave 500 troops to the Despotate, becouse Despotate lost allot of troops during the evening when the servers went down.

All true, except falls are not counted negatively in your kills post battle, just during it.  Still count as a death though.

I do not believe that is remotely the same thing as fighting an organized equal sized faction. In fact you did not declare war on all of those at the same time. You took out itty bitty factions near you who could not hope to depend themselves against your numbers and resources and they disbanded. The HoC declare only happened a short time ago. We're talking about people that have 0 strat ticks; unable to recruit troops. Very likely to have 0 gold as well. Rare is the player that has no ticks but still trades- I think the only guy like that we have is MC. Obviously James is just scheming to undermine the Gobblins. He plans to increase the amount of Acre fiefs by joining Gobblins, more support = more battles won = more fiefs for acre. Then he will break free from the Gobblins, forming into acre once more. Except James will emerge with half of the Gobblin fiefs under his control and mercenary superiority (as per usual), then a great civil war will be waged. Eventually causing a schism between occitan and frisia, as the other side tries to absorb the other.
Sensing weakness in the empire, Yoshi will wage increasing warfare and thus take over the other half of the strat map. I will then have King James' babies and make an alliance between the two great halves of the strat map: The Yoshi Caliphate of the Desert, Steppes, and everything inbetween; and the Kingdom of Acre, rulers of the west and other spare bits.

I mean, idealistically.

The problem with that plan is that more people sign up against the GOBBLINS than anyone else haha.

From a logical perspective if you step aside and look at this rationally instead of as a reactionary nerd, all that's happened is a move of 6 or 7 players (gasp! The whole map is broken now! 6 PLAYERS MOVED?!) from a noncombatant faction to the most warlike faction, immediately followed by a declaration of war between the two biggest factions on the map, in the process spurring 10 pages of shitposts.

Why am I supposed to be unhappy about any of those things?

I am also eagerly waiting for a thread where either UIF or the gobs themselves officially announce that they are trading and merc supporting each others, further increasing the gap between the big dogs and the small fries, but this time world wide. I am sure it would get many a +1  :P

Arena isn't a horrible cav map.  Sure it's hard to get to the archers on the stairs, but it does have completely flat terrain.  Maybe a little cramped, but there are forced passages and what not.  Much better than any city map or hill map.

Let's face it; How many of these other Strat factions are going to be able to get a competent roster vs Gobblins backed by Merc faction (Allers, Miley, Knightmare, Tim, Skinboat, and Thumper) via Acre gold. I'd like to think of myself as an optimist but some serious cosmic shit would have to align to get past; 1) LCO team work 2) Draculs support players and 3)Payed Merc solostars

I am kinda interested to see where this goes, i am almost 100% convinced that acre is in some way cursed, i cant think of a single healthy alliance they've been in since Rein, that hasnt ended up in the alliance crumbling or having to babysit Acre.

Just come over to Belgium, We have more then 700 kinds of beer, the known ones, I do not count the ones that people make for themselfs or for a small market.

In Vancouver you can't find the big brewery beers in the bars.  It's all craft beers, which is great, except there are so many I get them mixed up.  I like my beer like I like my women: cold and bitter.  And unfortunately there are a lot of beers that are sweet and fruity that have similar names to the swill I drink.

But the small northern towns still carry their Molson and Budweiser, but in 50 years or so they'll catch up too.
