grapple move for polearms

is it possible to add a grapple attack against polearms, so that they get bumped if you are really close like the one we have for ranged fighters now?

the realism reason, if you are close enough, then you can grab in the weapon of your opponent to get an advantage.
the biased selfish reason, i am sick of of it that polearms clip through teammates and walls and are able to hit you even if you stand right under their nose.

I love this idea but make sure that Bjord does not see this thread or he'll flame you for supporting a realistic change :)

Willing to drop your own weapon/shield to grab someone elses weapon?

Because a vast majority of the poles are longer and more unwieldy than the 2hs. It'd make more sense to me if this bump was governed by the size of the weapon and not of it being either a polearm or something else :P

This is no question of realism mate, its a question of balance and cuz of that its bias bullshit.

i have elbows as well.

balance wise, polearms have a higher reach and inflict more damage, oww and the polestun.

anyway, have you even tried to bump an archer? You have to be really close, and really close means really really really close, or it does not work.

So, realism in case, you want to stop a full speed polearm swing with your elbows?

*sigh* are you a merican?
You block with your weapon or shield and try to lock the polearm between your arm (thats the elbow part) and your upper-body.

ps: this would shift polearms a bit more to support weapons. you are still able to block in 1vs1 situations but you need some teammates in the clusterfuck fights.

Adding this to LONG SPEAR would already be fine. Nothing better than getting hit in the face by it while you are already inside the model.

Polearms are already at a disadvantage in clusterfucks, since they get stuck on everything.

Note that the OP routinely complains ingame about "exploiting polearm animations", whilst only ever playing as a buckler/1h player.
