Someone made a joke about Horns lasting only 2 weeks before dissapearing like Dupre...looks like that was optimistic. Damn, it must really be a mess if even starting to deal with it is that discouraging.

Well the time is truly upon us then! Never thought I'd see this day. Of course the servers have been dead on-and-off for a while now (a few years actually). Been when a revival would pop up, cRPG was always fun as ever!

I'm truly sad to see the mod officially end! Not that I'm dying to play or anything. Just sad that something that was so great, that was a significant milestone in my gaming-life, is finally and truly coming to an end!

It was a beautiful ride! Probably the most fun I've ever had in any game... and that says a lot!

So long everyone! Thanks for trying Horns and team! Hope to see everyone around one day in some clone that hopefully comes close to the greatness of cRPG!!!

right, but you need to find someone to host the server and someone to fix the mess horns didnt want to which sounds like a big job.
I would be willing to donate for monthly server costs but I think its down to someone with experience to fix what Horns sees.

The patcher is some code I wrote down in just a day - and it looks like that. It's horrible trash, and by far the most fragile code of cRPG. I certainly see why Horns couldn't make much sense of it. I offered to help him out with it, but didn't hear back from him. I guess it was above the fuck-it threshold.

If it's just the patcher that's the problem, I can try and fix it over the weekend. But it would still need a coder to trigger it - I don't think making a flawless patcher at this point is possible.
