I've been playing the game for about 2 years now and I love it. Playerbase is going strong and updates are consistent. Monthly subscription available but not required :) would recommend the game it is vastly improved since release.

I will admit questing alone is quite boring after a while still. But the main storyline and stuff with other players is great, all updates and events have been ES lore related as well. It has improved greatly overall. The dlc content brings in stuff like the Thieve's guild and dark brotherhood which have amazing reviews by the way for questers and players who enjoy reading all the lore they've put into in-game books.

Skyrim with the whole nord feeling fell really flat, Morrowind did a better job in their Bloodmoon dlc.
