Saw a Warband speed-run where the guy owned a castle in like 16 minutes by buying cows for 10 denars each from villages, slaughtering them for meat and selling to cities. Then he just hired sword sisters and sword brothers and stuff from taverns and took a Khergit castle straight away. It was pretty sick tbh.

Not buying, recruit peasants then immediately steal as much cattle as you can, then move on to next village, and clean out the gold supply of merchants in neighboring cities.

People playing anything, but Medieval Conquests for SP Warband, smh.

This is Jerry, playing McQockfests, he's my personal hero.

This is about being straight out retarded. Children see in slow motion like owls.

Full Rhodock Sharpshooter strategy was fun though.

Yeah once you get 20+ of those guys (and a bunch more of the lower ranked crossbow guys from the same troop tree) they sometimes kill all the enemies before you can even get into melee range on your horse. I liked combining them with mounted Swadians. Have archers hold somewhere and have cavalry follow you. Spin your horse train in circles around the enemy blob while the crossbows tear them up.

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

Play Prophesy of Pendor if you want challenge and something different, it's highly recommended
PoP has a lot of great content.

If you have viking conquest (it's worth the purchase if you like M&B) it's really fun to build up an army of javelineers. Crossbows barely exist and are not end-game beasts like in vanilla, bows are good as usual but throwing weapons are buffed into proportion with archery (considering quiver size). It is amazing to see a hail of spears break a shield wall, then fire again immediately and lay waste to your enemy. You can play sandbox mode on the British Isles/France/Norse real world map and you get a whole new set of kingdoms and troop trees.

The RPG module is pretty good, but if you want to play single player and have played vanilla M&B enough times to feel burnt out it brings some new life to the game. Map, kingdoms, troop trees, etc. are really well done and feel just like "real" M&B in a different setting that happens to lay heavy on the real history bit.
