Feminist Frequency ‏@femfreq  15 t15 tuntia sitten
Spent the day with a group of smart & passionate activists strategizing solutions to end online harassment with the @googleideas team.

Google Ideas ‏@googleideas  14 t14 tuntia sitten
The replies to our last tweet are precisely why we are exploring ways to combat online harassment.

So I wonder what conclusions their smart & passionate strategizing reached.

Google works with Saudi Arabia and China and a variety of other totalitarian states that censor their own internet routinely. This is nothing more than a publicity stunt, anyone who thinks Google of all companies is seriously commited to advancing any sort of political agenda combating the incredibly important and relevant problem of white women from first world countries being disagreed with on twitter is an idiot. The only thing Google cares about is piles of money and fooling aforesaid idiots into thinking they are some sort of wise benevolent group of futuristic technocrats and not at all a gigantic multinational corporation.

Of course nothing's going to come of it, hence why I wondered what their passionate & smart conclusions were.

Uh, what the heck are you on about?

Apparently Google Ideas is irrelevant even within Google, so it's not even a publicity stunt. I just found it hilarious.

Hahahaha omg the "journalist" who kicked off "shirtstorm" (http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/events/shirtstorm) was actually a part of that pannel. All they're missing now is the college professor who lied repeatedly about Tim Hunt's speech and slandered him as a misogynistic sexit macho asshole all over the media, forcing his "resignation", basically got him fired. Strange how it's so often the dumbest people from the vaguest, most useless, least scientific academic disciplines who cry nonstop about the supposed barriers to women in the sciences.

1+1=3!

You must have failed math in school and btw using pink as font color isn't that smart.

You're hurting my feelings!

But it is wrong... it just is, 1+1=2 and pink font color is hard to read with this background color.

Harrassment! Here's the phonenumber of this Patriarchal misogynist scum: +xx xxxxxxxxx
And his address: Common sense road 101, Realityland

a few months later:

Google ideas invited me to talk to them about online harrassment policies! Finally they will listen and see the truth!

"The Verge[14] published an article titled “I don’t care if you landed a spacecraft on a comet, your shirt is sexist and ostracizing,” which accussed Taylor of “the sort of casual misogyny that stops women from entering certain scientific fields.”"

Funniest part to me was that the shirt was designed by a girlfriend of his and he wore it on TV in an effort to help her business. I guess that part at least worked out all right, become a somewhat iconic shirt overnight, probably sold quite a bit. Hope she got it trademarked or something.
