first world problems

bad luck for me today.
i was on the way to my work via the autobahn 2. that´s one of the major east/west-routes here in germanyland.
heavy traffic is quite common here, so i have ignored the traffic jam warning of the automatic traffic info, because i still had plenty of time left and my exit was only 6 kilometres away.
big mistake.
in the radio news they have told me that there was an heavy accident with at least five lorries near my exit, great. estimated delay was one hour.

mental note to me: place something to read in your car.

I draw when it comes to stuff like this

an unread backup-book is also always a good idea

a friend of mine even had a gameboy with new batteries in his car for these kind of occasions

Bro, first world answer. You can do it while driving. You don't even need a traffic jam. Also, podcasts.

This is something that might happen to you at any random time in İstanbul. Traffic has gone so damn crazy that I am trying really hard to use only railway systems to go anywhere nowadays, let alone driving a car.

What you see down here... Almost sure to happen several times a week, if you are driving or using conventional public transportation here:

German autobahns are retarded. Having speed limits makes for much smoother traffic.
Meaning lies as much
in the mind of the reader
as in the Haiku.

the taxi here are ivory-coloured but post cars are yellow.

anyway, the aftermath of yesterday. one dead and five severely injured ones.
the whole mess has started in the night. there was one lorry with a wide load that could not be passed and so has caused some heavy traffic.
one polish driver (he is the dead one) has overlooked the tailback and crashed into it.

during the morning hours the traffic has become more intense and more crashes have happened at the end of the traffic jam (again too fast moving lorries).
this was shortly before i have arrived the scene.

about noon the accident somewhere behind my position, again a too fast moving lorry has overlooked the end of the traffic jam.

This is why getting a full motorbike license and a motorbike is good, you can just filter right through all the traffic. Well it's legal to do this in England dunno about other countries

Can't filter through a police roadhalt.

Da polise also shutdown a tunnel in the main road E6 recently because a dog was loose in there... Fkn hell.
