Blizzcon is on, and there will be a demo for wow classic around 6 hours from the time i post this, lasting a week i think. Ive heard it starts at lvl 15 in westfall/the barrens. Pretty hyped. I got to rank 8 just short of 9 on northdale before quitting.

Im still way hyped for classic, and wont mind leveling a druid again now that i know a lot more about the class and what items to get (mark of tyranny not blackhands breadth ya mong). Its easy to burn yourself out on classic though, gotta find more things to do than queue pvp lol. I was always excited in getting into world pvp, but i kept sitting comfortably in BG queues.

It is included in the retail sub, i just wonder if it has to be bought but i would assume no, at least if you own wow already.

Why are people so excited to get to play an old version of WoW? So weird.

Because its fun, and because modern mmos have strayed far from the roots.

https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/news/22646759/restoring-history-creating-wow-classic-panel-recap

^Personally im not opposed to minor changes like the mailbox convenience mentioned, or the loot being tradeable after picking up so that it can fix mistakes leaving customer support with less tasks of fixing such. I would very much like to see a OSRS style system of player polling for future ideas of changes.

Our first Nefarian kill. Struggled on Chromaggus before, but he changes from week to week and so it was easier this time around which allowed us to down Nef as well. Im dps druid, so i get a lot of gear quickly because many pieces are not shared by other classes. Going to probably try to snatch the Nef head next time though, gives a juicy ring. We run a DKP system so most people save their points for big weapon drops, meanwhile i got my weapon for minimum price and its bis, druid life <3

All these private servers are ran by money hungry russian scum. Elysium, lights hope, all the same shit. LH is ran by a known gold seller who was mad that the big ely boys didnt let him in on the scam, so he blew the whistle and fucked shit up. Cant trust these kids at all. And with official vanilla coming up theres no reason to put any hope in them either.

as foretold by my prophet galaxy brain in 2017

Insert 2 options meme; Play corrupt p servers, or have to wait until actual classic release.

So far it hasnt been so bad, one of our tanks got permad and was claiming innocence so we all got pissed. However it turned out he did actually buy gold LUL. Then we got like 2 or 3 more members banned for gold purchases. At least they are on point with that.

Best thing we have til actual classic.. AQ just released too, gotta practice it. One of the guilds got realm first C'Thun after like 1h20m of the gates opening, we still havent beaten the first boss

Hah, thats what you get when all the fights are already crunched down :D I was in the AQ40 race back when it was released, was really fun. My favourite vanilla raid.

Beta has begun, and release date has been announced to be august 27th. Time to watch some streamers play the beta to get a feel of the classic we are getting.

Good shit. Sooner than I expected. Not sure if I'll dive into it on release due to my time constraints, but it is nice to see something that was a good part of my high school years come alive again.

Are there any confirmed changes in comparison to old school WoW?
