Quite a good article for Kotaku. The problem with Vanilla is that ain't nobody got time fo dat. It was nice when World of Warcraft got released and you were a high school kid with no job and woman to feast on your free time. But in my current situation Vanilla is too inconvenient, grindy and time consuming, I guess. Still fun though, and the nostalgia is strong. I'll continue leveling on Nost when I have more time.

Playing WoD now, levling is actually a fun part of the game now and not a chore, i love dat. And the garrison stuff is pretty neat. Having a lot of fun treasure hunting and killing rares for unique items with my friend. Just about to hit 100, and get good ol' Nat Pagle into my garrison, will see how end game is now, hopefully not too shabby.

I'm kinda scouting around for a server right now, just to mess around or maybe play seriously.

the new expansions don't interest me, not even WOTLK. I played 2.4.3 most in my private server time, but there's just no good TBC stuff right now. PlayTBC gonna release in months, so I thought about Vanilla, and..

holy shit Nostalrius has a crapton of players from what I've seen. I've never played vanilla though, but I see most of you played on this.

is it as good as it sounds?

yes and no :D

Nostalrius is a good server, pretty much the best choice for a vanilla server. Having lots of people has both its advantages and drawbacks. You can find a group for everything but you will also have to fight for certain mobs with other people, and in PvP zones there's constant ganking. Also it's vanilla, a game I wouldn't consider had I not been the original vanilla player/fan back in the day (nostalgia strong). Then again it's free so why not give it a shot. If you do decide to play we're all on alliance, though I do not play atm. I think Gnjus and his company does though 8-)

I can already see this not being my thing too much (TBC was spoonfeeding you somewhat more even if a just a bit, just 2 lazy)
