Meh, this isn't the real issue. Nobody needs to stay in fiefs anymore, you can recruit anywhere and gold is made by moving and trading.

Introducing barriers to entering fiefs would be more helpful. There's so little control over who comes in and out, and that's where the money is made (by those coming in and doing business) and lost (by the owners).

Yea, but I've had 6 people in my fief for over 4 weeks now.

If I made just 2 gold an hour, I'd have made like ...1500 g by now on ONE person.

Ah I've been assuming 28 days since the first 2ish days were really kinda just out there. So it's Day 35 and counting. I'd have made MORE money then.

that adds up. using the actual values and correct people, over 1 month it's 10k. THAT is a decent gold amount. That's enough to equip maybe 50 ish men(+/- more) with decent gear. and that's only at 2g per hour. If you do the CAP (i proposed of 10) you would have made...50k gold over 1 month.

It is NOT an insignificant amount, and SHOULD be implemented ASAP.

This will just mostly serve as an extra tax for less active people who don't check strat every hour and just click on a town and say enter then come back 2 days later which is just annoying gameplay.

On the few occasions where you can say it is a contribution for sanctuary, well offering someone sanctuary has a bunch of more important considerations (politics, friendship, charity, mercy) ahead of being able to chisel the guy for 100-200g per day.

I like how you continue to believe that it'll be 100g per hour BS. the max proposed would be close to 10g(so 240g a day if he just camps in your fief) and it's be an increase similar to the way goods prices go 1,1,4,5,13,21,55....so most people will average around 2-5g per hour.

Hiding in fiefs is important since being out of a fief makes you a target, why shouldn't the owner get something back for it?

Annoying?.....

Even if you are casual, 240g(max which will be HARD to achieve) wouldn't hurt much. If anything, it makes it so that those who own fiefs get like a "inn" tax for all the fools staying in it, otherwise, why should factions allow randoms to just hide in their fiefs? They'll just kick them out all the time and then let someone attack them to get rid of them.

Shouldn't you encourage factions to let randomers in? What better way than letting the factions make small, long term income off of it. You might even see more open borders.

If cap it out at 10g max per hour(or maybe a daily rate of 100 cap), it won't affect casuals nor will it really hurt traders and actives. (it'll only hurt if you AFK for like 1 week with little money)
