What I'm trying to say with that is Talewords made with fire and sword...which was crap. MM did pretty well. So they combined it and it did even better. CA can do the same with Rome.

Thats exactly what Europa Barbarorum was at its start, historical research for all factions and they offered this information to CA, but got blown off. Then they decided to go ahead and make a mod based on their research. Maybe the popularity of EB will lead CA to act different on this one, but I doubt it. The impression I get from the interviews is that they are planning on staying true to history a little more. It wouldn't be vanilla Total War though if we don't atleast get 3 retarded units.
