Not anymore. Patched out ages ago. Keep the box ticked and wear what you can afford.

Yeah, you'd last a good while on 100k, not to mention 1mil. Unless you're riding a plated charger in full plate yourself with a flamberge on back.

If you are unlucky you pay for repair costs every round. With that high costs its likely you will. You pay 7% of the total cost for the items, that means if you use an armor for 16k, and it gets damaged and needs repair, you gonna pay 1120 for it. A round usually ends after like 5 minutes which means you get 5*50 Gold during that round on x1, which is 250 gold. So if you would have to repair any item, you would lose gold. With equip that is expensive like that, you will lose gold every round. Even with x5 it will be hard to keep up with the repair costs, because you wont have x5 all the time.

If you are in generation 1, you get 1000 xp per tick with 1x, and you need ~ 8,8 million exp in total for lvl 31, which means with 1x you will need 8800 minutes, which is 146 hours. Depending on your x, depending how often you get x2, x3, x4 or even x5 instead of x1, the time will decrease. The more exp you gain, the less often you have to pay for repair costs during your generation of course.

It surely depends on luck, how often you have to pay repair costs and for how many items. But with that item set up, you will lose your money very quickly I guess but however I dont think you would have to spend an amount near to a million gold for one generation.

edit: my post is more in theory, I never wore that expensive gear so better listen to WarLord. However these were my thoughts about it.

You should be good.

If I regularly use 69,622 gold worth of equipment,
(Purple n' Green Hood
Lamellar Vest
Gloves
Rus Cav Boots
Deadly Hvy Lance
Shortened Spear
Horseman's Kite Shield
Champ Courser)

and stay steadily at about 100,000 gold, then your paltry 40kish worth of gear should be fine--you should make money, really. You have to take into account your skill, though. I'm more likely to keep a good modifier because I'm a fucking awesome player and help my team win--at the very least, I get dat valor.

Also, if you continue on to retire repeatedly, than the phase in which you transition from level 1 to 30 will be a good opportunity to make money--you're forced, then, to use shittier equipment (depending on what you're using, of course). Gambeson and stick ftw

I usually sport something like:
heavy lance
courser
rus splinted boots
scale gauntlets
green coat of plates
klappvisier
bec de corbin

And i found myself losing like 120-140k throughout the whole generation. Mind that on some maps i did not ride, as not all maps i found myself being more useful on horseback.

Yeah if you stay around 40k (unheirloomed item price) total, you should be okay.

100k is a nice buffer. Should be enough.

I'm around 49k for my cav build, and only spend about 30k or so per gen (but it can vary greatly).

If you have 80k I wouldn't worry about money for at least another gen.

When I click on my equipment on c-rpg page, it says it's at around 65k equipment cost but when I add it up, it's around 49k.  Do heirlooms make it look more expensive than they are?  I know my upkeep on a courser vs my well bred courser is the same.

500K is enough to keep me in 161K worth of gear for 2 to 2.5 gens.

Ylca has bigger e-peen sorry all
So the new response to ranged ragers is not "get a shield", it is "learn to chamber ranged nub!"
