The Calradian Confederacy Disbands

I sat on my horse riding south. We had just achieved VIC(Victory In Curaw) after a long arduous siege and I was heading home to Dhirim to get some well earned rest. Humming along, I heard the familiar neigh of a horse I'd seen thousands of times before. Turning in my saddle I saw my old friend and comrade Rando pull up alongside me.

"Rando? Aren't you supposed to be staying in Curaw to run things? Why are you around here?" I asked concerned, fearing the worst.
"There's something I must tell you Tristan. Its nothin personell... But I'm leaving the Confederacy to join Frisia. I feel this is what I must do." Rando said in his usual demeanor. Strong cock and head sure, or was that the other way around? Regardless he had that tone in his voice where you know nothing you say will change his mind.

"What? " I asked, taken aback. "We just won a glorious battle. This is a time for celebration not to fragment and separate. Come, let us go to Dhirim together and share a drink to toast the great victory you, Albus, Sitvek, and I all shared."
"You don't understand. I'm not happy here and I wish to go join people more like me. I'm tired of our clan members banner hopping and showing disloyalty. Enough is enough I'm afraid." Rando replied, with a hint of alcohol on is breath.

I sat there for awhile riding in silence not knowing what to say. This is a man, if not a brother, who I had spent the last 4 years fighting with. Growing and learning, coming from no ones who couldn't hold a fief to owning multiple cities at once. Ones we had won through hard fought combat. Yet he's leaving us and all we've worked for to join someone else. I wish at that moment I could have been a better man. I wish I could say we separated amicably and that was that. Instead what followed were insults thrown at each other and two friends departing in anger. As his horse diverged down the road opposite mine I knew that this was the end of the Confederacy. My only choice is to follow the road I'm on to where it leads and hope that I can see my friend again.

Hear the thunder of their hooves as you race amongst the mazes to take first place! This race isn't for the weak as it is long and difficult. Come prepared!


When: January the 20th(saturday). 8pm GMT-0 for EU and 8pm EST(5pm PST) for NA!
Where: The event servers providing they are up, if not we can easily do this on NA3/EU3
Rules: No weapons! Any characters allowed, infact i recommend a STF but you do you. ONLY DONKEYS! If i see you on a mule you'll be disqualified. If you are a ballsy enough guy to go with a plated donkey then I won't stop you.

Come and show off your ability to defeat everyone else on the battlefield (or run and hide)! Make dirty alliances just to stab them in the back to claim that prize for yourself! Everything goes in the land of FREE FOR ALL

When: 8pm EST for NA on January the 6th. 8pm GMT-0 for European(12pm PST is the time for me, i think i got the conversion right) on January the 6th.
Where: NA3 and EU3

Rules: NO RULES besides dont kill me since then the match wont work and no laddering outside of the map. Both will get you banned and barred from future events. When the map is set, everyone joins the TOP TEAM! I will join the bottom team and you will all be on the same team. When the round timer hits the end of the first minute is when the match starts so you will have that long to get to a favorable position. Ranged is allowed, kiting is allowed. At 2 minutes left EVERYONE MUST MOVE TO FLAGS! This is to prevent draws.

How do it work/How do i win my awesome prize? We will do 3 rounds on NA and 3 rounds on EU. Anyone from either area is welcome to participate in any so feel free to show up to both and try your luck! Winner is last man standing (so even if you kill everyone but one, you still lose)

Strategus General Discussion / 5 Suggestions on things to do before Strat reset to make it have longer life

1. Fix gear dupe bug! At this point defense on sieges doesnt lose gear. I could attack your castle 500 times and you'd never have to put more gear in it or take any gear out because you do not loot gear either. This is aggravating on offense when you have to spend millions of silver on armies for defense to have to do 0 work. Then, when attackers take the fiefs, they loot all the gear in it BUT it all also stays in the castle thus doubling the gear. Prime reason to hate anyone doing fief transfers as well since there is no way to prove that they didn't go ahead and drop in a few thousand sets of +3 plate before hand.

2. Double ladders health and team lock siege towers. Ladders break way too fast and honestly its the most annoying part about offense. I'm personally pro doubling their HP but some people might want a smaller buff to it. Attack is already bad enough, not being able to walk up your ladder before its broken just makes it even worse. As for siege towers, the fact that the enemy can use them is so stupid. 10/10 times you will have some useless player on defense whose ENTIRE PURPOSE is just to jump off a wall and fuck with the siege tower. Its so easy to move it and fuck it up its not even funny. They take a long time to build and are essentially just another massive headache for the siegers. Also making Catapults take less damage from arrows would be sweet (how the fuck do you break a catapult with an arrow, even a few hundred?)

3. Reduce PP gains. It was buffed insanely which was fun for when strat was RIP to custom make armies but it would be a bit too ez to get full plate at this rate. I would prefer it go to somewhere between the old rate and the new one.

4. Make villages produce troops. This idea was told to me by Heskeytime and I support it. Make them produce 1-2 troops per hour and all of a sudden the most worthless places on the map that never get geared or defended are now hotspots of battles. People will fight tooth and nail for their villages leading to more fun battles. Plus, factions gaining more troops=more troops for battles=more battles

5. Create a reward system for top 10 in Renown and more clearly define how renown is gained. This gives incentive to create big battles since people will want the rewards for being in the top 10. I also think that defense should get MUCH LOWER renown gain instead of the insane boosts they get now for losing sieges. Rewards could be gold, lps, or titles. I was thinking The Renowned Fighter/General (maybe you get to choose what it says) for the #1 spot in both EU and NA. Rewards change every week/month depending on how big the rewards are.

Whats more fun than strategus, na1/eu1, eu7/na7, and sex combined? The answer is obvious of course! TOURNAMENTS AND EVENTS!


Here is the slate that I am thinking about:

Jan 6th: FFA match with prizes. Would take place on NA3/EU3 and I can run both if no EU event runners can make it. Just a simple FFA with prizes to the winners. Most likely do 3-5 rounds since a single round goes by pretty quick with a prize to each winner.

Jan 13th: Hide and Seek! Inspired by when the database is down, we will play on a biggish map and have 3-4 seekers. Everyone hides and the seekers seek. Hiders are naked with no weapons, seekers are naked with weapons. If you manage to kill the seeker you get to rehide but if you die you also die in real life... Winner is last lad found and we may do several rounds of this as well.

Jan 20th: DONKEY RACE! We have that donk race map, why not make use of it! Will just do one race with a prize since it takes a l ong time. Only donks, STF allowed, no weapons tho so you cant just ace your competitors

Jan 28th-29th: DUEL TOURNAMENT! I'll have sign ups for this soon, but this doesnt need much of an explanation. Show off your epeen!



NA/EU players are allowed to participate in both events if they want although if for some reason there is limited space then they will get booted in favor of regional players. All these events will be NA/EU. Give me feedback on the events and what you'd like to see in the future/for prizes. If you're interested in helping run these events please message me and I'm sure you can be compensated for missing out on the fun.

Why not just wipe everyones gold? And while you do that, decrease gold to pre POD levels as well. Then I get to keep muh looms, it fixes hyper inflation, upkeep is a thing again, etc etc

What: Saracens vs Crusaders. My army (Sorcerer_Tholamin/Tristan_of_Erzoth) will be the Crusaders, Sharpes will be the Saracens. Come on in and RP killing heretics or infidels!

Why: For fun

There's no TS for the battle you're required to enter. I'll probably be in the cRPG discord voice chat channel. We will put up forward spawns so dont go slaughtering each other until then!

Hey i have 2500 sets of +3 full plate (real plate, talking heavy gothic not that fake ass transitional shit). Have another 5,000ish sets of heraldic tabards over mail with equivalent helmets/boots/gloves as well. I only have 2300 troops so come take some of this shit from me so we can do more battles! I also have 26mil silver to buy more shit with so ya dawg lets do it.

Random Stuff Saturdays


What is this: Some Saturdays we will do random events with prizes. It won't be every Saturday and probably will only happen if we have a good enough idea.
Why: For fun! Get people on for the event then we can all go on battle together and have a good time.
Where: NA3 (duel server) until the events server gets set up, then it'll be there
How do I sign up?: There won't be sign ups! Its just show up and play unless we decide to do something more structured, in which case I'll make a separate thread for it.
When: Saturdays starting at 3pm PST
How long?: Time will vary depending on the event. Long enough for fun to be had but not too long that the novelty wears out and it gets tedious.

RULES: Naked, no weapons. Only equipment allowed is gloves. You can use STF or regular characters, its up to you.
Prize: 200k to whoever has the highest kills at the end.
Time Frame: Event will start at 3pm PST. You can join late although obviously you have more time to win if you are there. It'll go for 20mins until 3:20pm PST.

We will be using a deathmatch mode. The only downsides to this mode is that nudges and the voice menu do not work.

Only one crush through weapon per team
no ranged weapons, this includes throwing weapons even in melee mode
At this point I am not considering a gold limit for gear. Let me know if you think we should have one below and of enough do we will institute one.
STF only. We can and will check.
Map: Arena unless there is demand for a different map
Rounds will be ft3 with double elimination
no cav either

First Place: 25mil xp(each), 3 lp(each) OR Special Event Weapon, 1.2mil gold(split)
Second Place: 10mil xp(each), 1lp(each), 400k gold(split)
Third Place: 5mil xp(each) 200k gold(split)

Participation Prize: 100k each

Best Dressed: 250k
Best Sportsmanship: 100k
Funniest Moment: 100k
Most Clutch Performance: 250k

All prizes are per team and will be split between members. You can win multiple of the bonus prizes as well. They are subjective and the winners will be determined by myself and the other people helping run the event.
