Your government figured that out on their own, which was to be expected given the fact you are Germans. Government of my country tried different approaches aka no testing and when the Chinese delegation came and warned them about the probable outcome of their silly actions they did U-turn. But unlike Germany, they have to buy foreign tests.

It is silly that all it took was five minutes read back in mid-February to figure out that massive testing and case tracking is the single most important thing as seen in examples of Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, China and now Germany. There was an entire Chinese protocol for Wuhan available in written form for free, a whole month ago. And Britmy old friends tried to be smarter than everybody else by adapting the theoretical model for flu pandemic into response for COVID-19 pandemic, completely ignoring massive differences between two viruses. But that's what you get when you vote for right-wingers.

South Korea offered test kits to the USA in early Feb I believe, but they refused claiming their CDC finds those kits to produce wrong results. Now they ordered that same machine Korea has been using for testing hundreds of thousands of people all this time. In the mean time they went from just a flu, dem hoax, they have it contained to this what we today. The most amusing detail is, they will again vote for Trump administration. He will spin this hard as Chinese virus, blame everything on China and win election based on racism once again.

China can immediately take control and deal with the pandemic through their communist government, which is good for situations like this. But they also jailed the guy who tried to warn about the virus before it spread to this level, so really the benefits even out.

They did not jail him, they warned him. But if he did not heed their advice, they would make him disappear. Which is a bit worse than jail.

A similar thing happened in NYC hospital, nurse complained about lack of PPE and hospital directors warned her not to talk about that publicly.

Also, the communist regimes live in fear of external attack. They tend to have more resources allocated for potential crisis than free-market economy which looks at spending on events with low probability of happening, as a massive waste of money.

China obviously has huge reserves of all essential goods for pandemic prevention while the USA and UK do not.

At greatest risk from coronavirus are fat people. Was not the case in China because of very few fat people in China. But data from western countries show that being fat and having coronavirus means you are in trouble. Very poor outcome.

Japan still low both on cases and in death count. Why? Very limited physical interaction on cultural level (they touch each other only during sex), high level of politeness (they do not sneeze, cough or spit into other people faces) and very low percentage of fat people. Despite being a very old nation, they are very healthy in general.

So far, among the countries most successful at preventing the spread of coronavirus two have communist governments (China and Vietnam). Communist Cuba is sending its doctors to battle coronavirus in other countries. At the same time, the greatest capitalist governments are literally falling apart and the private health sector is nowhere to be seen in European Union battle against coronavirus. Varoufakis is right, coronavirus will kill private health.

Does Germany count chronic patients who are positive on coronavirus as coronavirus victims or they count them as death from ongoing chronic illness?

All they need to do is to slap new graphics on old mechanics. But just like most devs, they were too full of themselves and thought they could improve upon Warband. Like chadz and cmp, like War of the Roses guys...

You do not need math to able to see where this is going. For example, Spain reacted very late and held a few events where thousands of people were present in early March. Which now directly translates into the number of infected. The same can now be said of Florida which, almost certainly, will be the most affected state in the entire USA. They are still partying on the beaches, those kids will go to their states soon and infect their loved ones in the next few days or so. Besides Florida, the most affected region city is NYC, and that could be predicted almost 20 days ago. The countries which made mistakes will pay the highest price. God won't be there to save them, because God does not exist.

There is a vaccine for TB, all civilized kids take it. The huge majority of those deaths come from undeveloped regions where there is no vaccination for TB. Of course, there are antivaxxers in developed countries, but they are not considered civilized.

To think that at one point many people were standing behind Ron Paul. But that was before the world realized he is a nutcase and that his son is human garbage. It is interesting that Ron Paul is still alive and active, given his old age. What Bernie Sanders is for Democrats, the polar opposite of him or extreme wing of Republican party is Ron Paul. He is so hardcore in his views that most Republicans cannot stand him. For instance when this is all over Ron Paul as POTUS would veto intervention of American Federal Reserve which would bankrupt the country and entire world would follow. He is a wild west type of cowboy, no government, no tax, who has the most guns wins type of guy. He would leave all those people who lost their jobs homeless or let the virus kill them first.

Heard about that some two months ago. She was some kind of psychic. I believe she also wrote that mostly young died from that disease in her book.

To tell you frankly, last few years I was wondering when another Spanish Flu would strike, being 100 years since the last big pandemic and here it is. Most epidemiologists warned officials about strong possibility but there was no understanding from those in power. Bill Gates also warned people five years prior and years after that.

Imagine if world leaders worked together on this if the WHO and the United Nations served some purpose. They could cancel all flights from China early January, then mid-January get all planes down. It would cost a lot less than what this will cost us in the end. Block on people travel would fix everything and while tourism would tank, people who travel because of business have that thing called the Internet. There is no need to make deals in person for the last two decades or so. But boomers being boomers and their policies. Now they will suffer the most because of their stubbornness.

Let me tell you something. All countries minus a few Asian countries like South Korea, Vietnam and Singapore are full of shit. When they report 50 cases, then say it is a national emergency be sure they did not close the border and shut the entire economy just because of 50, 100 or 500 cases. Stay safe.
