Martial arts are not always practiced in order to learn self-protection. It is a sport and recreation activity.

If you want to protect yourself, get a gun. Or at least carry a hidden knife.

Oh, i see. I know, what you call fun. Fun it is when you place the most hardest iron defence on your self and pick some two handed sword or twohanded polearm and goes wright infront of the battlefield.
But to protect from the archers, all you need is a shield. But it is not fun. I see.
And to protect from cavalry, all you need - is a one long spear.
But, as some Dave decide, because he doesn't use a cavalry and can't shot from a bow, but only can be with twohanded weapon, he decide to just delete that all from the game.

Maybe something changed in the meantime because the last time I played was 5 years ago but... not even two shields can help you on a low population server where 50% are ranged. They just circle you like a turtle and pew pew pew...

Momonga is a very well written IMHO. Just like Tanya's character, he is another Japanese salaryman. Which is why he was chosen to be a guild master and do all the boring stuff for his guild. During the series on multiple occasions he shows envy towards his former guildmates because unlike him they were interesting people who could let go of that dying game, something he could not do because outside that MMORPG and his boring job, he has no life. Momonga is not evil, but he is not the force of good. He is hard working solitary man of average intelligence which is why NPCs seem way more cunning than him. At first, he is trying to act in a humane way but he since he turned into undead he has no connections to humans anymore, but the truth is he never really had. His wannabe good guy side is more of his desire to be one rather than him being a good person. Since he is the only former human in that world, at least the only one he knows, he is trying hard to act differently than his evil NPC underlings.

In a nutshell, the third season shows above written in a bit clearer light than previous seasons. He gets to rule in that world, something he could never do in real life. Which is why he is so afraid of other human players, but also NPCs becoming self sufficient. Always trying to subjugate them, if they ever find out what kind of lame human he is no one would follow him.

Lizard episodes were filler, just like some other episodes which have no tie to the main story.

I know ages ago Umbra used to watch Overlord, so I gave it a go. Not bad, it is good actually but totally not what I expected. I thought it was some harem/ecchi/loli funny anime but it becomes kind of dark in the last few episodes. Not my preferred contender as the best in the genre but it is in top 3.

After I finished with Overlord, I wanted more gaming-focused anime since I could not easily find Beastars (had no idea it was on Netflix) so I started watching Log Horizon. So far not good, I find it boring and just cannot binge it properly.

In the meantime found Beastars for download (I really dislike streaming). Almost done with it and must say this is one of the strangest anime I have seen so far. It is excellent but so odd. It could be a high-quality high school, a slice of life anime if there were no animals, just humans instead. But animal relations is what it makes it special. I started alongside Log Horizon but the difference in quality is so massive, I completely gave on MMORPG anime.

Edit: Since Beastars is happening in a high school setting, I realized that I do not hate the setting. I hate My Hero Academia because it is fucking garbage anime with garbage story and garbage characters, it is no fault of a school setting.

The best way to learn karate is to find a large glass window, get a sponge and bucket of soapy water. Take a sponge in your hand, submerge it into the soapy water, and press on the window surface. Try to cover the entire window multiple times doing circular motions with a sponge. The goal is to turn the window into a perfectly shiny and reflective surface. During the course, you will hear a lot of squeaky sounds, which means you are progressing in the right direction. When you are done with the first window, do another, and another. After dozen or so windows when your skills are honed to a decent level try doing next window while standing on just one foot. After thousands of windows on one foot try standing on a single toe. First, stand on the toe then try doing the same while standing on a single finger. After a million windows doing that you should try levitating. If you succeed, congratulations, you have become a master of karate.

The second more common way is to join a local dojo, they will instruct you and you will be assigned to a group according to your skill level. At first, you will perform a basic move (called Kihon) forward punch (oi zuki) and will do that until your arms drop off or you get good enough with it. Then you will practice other kihon. After that comes kata or form where you learn to combine those moves. There are also different styles of karate but that comes later.

Problem with second, more common approach is that you will punching air all the time and no window will get washed during the process.

Slight dip in quality but only for a few selected scenes, the rest is the same quality as the second season. It is a well-crafted show but when you think about it, it has a premise similar to The Strain. What differentiates them is the quality of writing, production values, and actor performance.

Certain scenes are extremely Asian, it seems like something Papa Franku would make fun of.

Arslan Senki is not bad but is nothing special. It gets worse as the story progresses. It is the proper medieval anime and has a strong Mount and Blade vibe.

There are many great youtube art channels, that have tutorials that will help you immensely to learn drawing, painting. Drawing and painting is a skill like every other, over time you get better at it. Talent is maybe 2% in successful art piece, rest takes time. What differentiates artists from nonartists, is the tendency of certain people to practice art.

Coloring books are for toddlers. I spent a few hours hand-painting eggs yesterday (superhero eggs for my nephew), that is more fun than coloring an ebook.

This girl will teach you how to draw facial features correctly. You only need to purchase a quality set of art pencils which can be found for 15-30 dollars for 16 different pencils.

If you do not like drawing, there are sculpting, cooking, DIY electronics, woodworking... and other things I am terrible at like music and singing. Sadly for singing natural talent is a must like being tall is necessary to play basketball.

Immigrants are also quite over represented as Westwood predicted,

https://samnytt.se/over-1-000-doda-i-corona-invandrare-overrepresenterade/

Same as in the USA, minorities are dying more often due to their culture or lack of. Touchy, grabby, rapey, rude culture. Gypsies are particularly good at spreading COVID-19 because they have a tendency of spitting people in the face.

But immigrants are fodder and dead ones will be replaced with new ones.

The situation here is pretty bad considering all the measures taken, thanks to the same socioeconomic reasons.

Not sure about the role of Vitamin D in all of this but I am supplementing for the last two months, moderate dose (2000 i.e. every day). I could increase but have sand in my kidneys so I need to be careful.

China increased death numbers by 40%. Original numbers were believable in the beginning but since tiny Belgium reported more deaths, they had to fix their numbers not to look like complete fools. They are still being silly with their numbers.

Money saved on pensions won't be used to improve the life of workers, it will be used on Muslim immigrants who will replace the lost population of Sweden. Even in the times of crisis, Sweden is not letting go of its population replacement strategy :P

America will divert more money to the rich, making them even richer. It is the American way.

Bought cheap Wahl trimmer, cut my hair. Not great, not terrible :D

In other news, people are dying in large numbers as expected. Especially in US of America. Seems like most countries are underreporting deaths like it was the case during Swine flu pandemics so once this is over (if we made it to the end), they will probably replace death numbers with a couple of million people.

There is no cure, there is no working therapy, so far there is no vaccine. CFR is anywhere between 0.5-2% so it is not extremely deadly but some people roll bad numbers. Trick is not to be among those people. Officially over 2 mil infected but the real number is probably at least 10 times bigger if not 50 times. Most of the people show very little or no symptoms. Those represented in official numbers are mild to severe cases that require hospitalization and get tested in the process.

Good thing is that quarantine is working to slow the spread. If not for these measures we would already be at the point where we acquired herd immunity but a number of dead would be quite high, tens of millions globally.

I will give a go after I finish with Arslan Senki.

Devilman Crybaby... overrated. Weird art style, American influence (gay and gender theory bullshit), feels like that depressive piece of crap Evangelion with Berserk characters. Boobs are nice tho, even on that blonde bundle of sticks.

When it runs on pc start up and the game is not running its not a big deal?

Depends. I already use Huawei phone that is opening selfie cam in the background whenever they feel like it, and now thanks to coronavirus (another Chinese invention), little illusion of privacy we thought we had is now completely gone. Another layer of privacy breaching crap on top of inbuilt Microsofts spyware is only going to hurt my PC performance, privacy is already dead.
