EU Melee Duel Tournament

Sign ups are hereby open and will close after 12 days (2014-06-13). There is no maximum number of participants!

Tournament will start on 14th of June, Saturday.

Hosted on EU_cRPG_8_Events.

Schedule

Three hours session 14th June start at 19:00 GMT +2 - 1ST & 2ND ROUND
Three hours session 15th June start at 19:00 GMT +2 - 2ND & 3RD ROUND
Three hours session 21st June start at 19:00 GMT +2 - 4TH, 5TH ROUND & SEMIFINALS
Three hours session 22nd June start at 19:00 GMT +2 - BRONZE MATCH & FINAL

Rules

• Map will be set on Teeth's Arena Map (see page 10)
• Duels will be in the Circle in the middle part of the map
• STF Characters only
• First to 5
• Single elimination
• No face hugging at the start of the duel
• Melee weapons only
• No horses are allowed
• No knockdown weapons are allowed
• Maximum armor shop-value of 15,000 (no limit on weapons)

Tournament Rules

1. Tournament Format

The tournament uses the following format:
Step 1: Group stage
Step 2: Play-offs
Step 3: The Grand Finals

1.1 Group stage

• The group stage will consist of 20 teams and four groups. By placing first or second in the group you advance to the winner bracket of the knockout stage and if you end up third or fourth you will advance to the lower bracket in the knockout stage. Onl the team that finish fifth in the group will be eliminated from the tournament.
  The round robin system will be used in the group stage and the games are played best-of-one. Teams play eachother once during the group stage.

1.2. Play-offs

• The play-offs consist of a single elimination bracket. All the games in the winner bracket is played best-of-three.

1.3. The Grand Finals

• The finals are played best-of-three.

1.4. Best-of-three (BO3) Match

• A best-of-three (BO3) match consists of two or three maps. A match is played in two stages for 12 rounds total, 6 rounds per spawn, the map must always be restarted after a spawn switch. The winner of a game (map) is the first team who reaches a total of 7 rounds for that game (map). The remaining rounds will not be played after a team has won the map. If a game ends up in a tie, meaning that both teams have on 6 in-game rounds on the same map, a tiebreaker will be played until a winner is decided for that map.
• For the overtime teams do not switch sides at the end of a match, a restart is needed however. The overtimes consists of 2 stages (half-times) having 3 in-game rounds each, the map must always be restarted after a spawn switch. The winner of the overtimes is the team that manage to win 4 in-game rounds.
• The winner of a BO3 is the team that wins a total of two games.
• Teams are allowed to 5 minutes break between the matches (maps). The break time is subject to change if the situation requires it.

2.1 Team submissions

• Each team must consist of 5-8 players (Meaning no more than 8 players).
• Replacing players: Each team can have up to three replacements available after the sign up deadline.
• Each team must have a Captain, which is responsible for communication with tournament admins and other team Captains.
• No offensive team names/team tags.
• Every player must use the nick name and team tag they signed up with
• A player from a team which has already been eliminated may not join another team which is still in the tournament.
• A player in the team has to be apart of at least 50% of the matches in order to get a prize.

3. Match Rules

3.1 Deadlines

• Every round of the tournament will have a deadline. Each team is responsible for their match schedules. Any teams to have not decided on a time or has yet to play their match by that week’s deadline will be risking tournament disqualification. Schedule your match here.
  

3.2 Rules during a match

• Restricted to STF Characters only
• During a tournament match you must use your team tag
• All matches must be played on EU_cRPG_8_Events. Note: Always contact an official cRPG admin before a round to change the settings to the tournaments official server settings, (see article 6.1).
• Matches will be 5-a-side, the team may only use a maximum of three infantry, two ranged, one cavalry and one horse ranged.
    Throwers counts as ranged.
    Horse Ranged counts as both cavalry and ranged.
    Players must have a minimum of 4 riding to be counted as cavalry. Neither the Donkey nor Sumpter Horse are allowed to be spawned in a match.
• Both teams are granted 15 minutes to gather their players and begin the match after the scheduled time. If a team cannot gather five players, they must play the match regardless or forfeit the match.
• If one team fails to show up after 15 minutes from the scheduled time, a tournament admin must be contacted to declare the match as a W.O
• If there are any technical problems that prevents a team from showing up, it is up to the team captain to contact a tournament admin.
• Spectators are allowed during matches.

3.3 Substitutions

• Substitutions must join their team during the rounds and stay 'dead' when not used.
• Substitutions can be used freely during a match, but are under no circumstances allowed to spawn with more than 5 players on either team.
• Any team to have a 6th player spawn in a single round, will be considered to have forfeited the round.

4. Match Reports

4.1 Match results

• Always report the match result in the 'weekly deadline thread'. Screenshots are necessary in the end of each spawn switch/map end for confirmation.

4.2 Investigation for possible violations

• If a team suspects that the opposing team are breaking the rules, you shall play on regardless and finish the match. After the match the team captain may ask a tournament admin for an investigation. It is strongly recommended that you provide screenshots or records that may help the tournament admin in his investigation.
• Unjustified and repetitive use of this right may be sanctioned.

5. Other Rules and Violations

5.1 Forbidden software

• Any kind of the following softwares are strictly prohibited and will result in a ban from cRPG and the elimination of the entire team.
     *Aimbot
     *Wallhack
     *Autoblock

5.2 Behaviour rules

• Use common sense. Players must be respectful to the opponents and admins on both the servers and tournament board. Teams repetitively showing poor attitudes towards other players/admins will be sanctioned.

Edit: Obviously it wasnt an easy decision. I've probably spent 3k+ hours on the game and I've had an awesome time playing. I've been thinking of quiting the game entirely for quite some time now and as the drama queen I can be I wanted to share my inventory with the community, not just my clan.

The latest archery changes was the last straw for me. In my opinion the balancing team are ruining the game and I also believe they seriously lack experiance of the game. Too much biased opinions (its quite obvious) in the balancing team.

Will you eventually add banners to Strategus factions? So everyone in the roster of a Shu Han battle gets these beautiful banners (havnt really decided which one to use in case it's implemented):

Imo it looks like shit when there's a shield wall and there is 8 different banners, especially when there's a Byzantium banner with the Shu Han armors

Anyway I am a little curious since there's banners next to the factions with an upcoming battle

The villages Fedner, Ushkuru and Chaeza of the Shu Han Empire are now open for free trade. The other fiefs remains closed

Both fiefs are at 22 price.

We will not guarrantee any safety around these fiefs however, so if a bandit attacks you, it's your own problem
