General Discussion / Anything else I can do to increase my fps?

I'm on lowest video settings and directx 7. I can run the game fine at first but after 15-25 minutes my fps starts to go down. Usually I can fix it by restarting the game, but it's a pain in the ass restarting it every half an hour. So I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do to improve my fps.
