Diplomacy / Once again, New Emer's population will have to endure.

It was a cloudy day with the sun setting in the horizon. The mountains looked beautiful with an array of oranges and purples splashed onto the deep blue sky. Then the villagers hear a rumble, unknown at first due to being so feint. It grew stronger with a rhythm similar to the beat of a drum. That rumble then brought on a sense of fear to the peasants when it was realized their village was being encircled. Torches, fires, and silhouettes could be seen in a distance. They knew there would be no mercy or quarter on the morrow. The captain of Lord Martin's guard in New Emer sent out a messenger during the dead of night with the message;
"My Lord,
We are encircled with men bearing the banners of the "The Clan" and request relief. We will hold to the last man! If we fall by the next moon, then I apologize I have failed you my Lord. With our possible sacrifices coming, bring fire and steel upon our conquerors. Instill the fear in them so much so that even sleep is avoided due to the nightmares that the Chevaliers; loyal vassal of Arrowaine of the Occitan, Member of the AntiCarebear Confederation, will bring in both this world and any world they may roam. Bring justice and order to these lands!

I, Chevalier Martin, request that those loyal to our banner, those loyal to our cause, and those seeking retribution for the countless families lost in defense of New Emer to fight for our lands again. It will be a tiring battle and we may lose. Know though, that this will not be the last that "The Clan" will see, hear, or speak of us. May God have mercy on their souls for he will be the only one giving mercy on tomorrows battle. We do not forget.
