I have a similar issue, I made a thread about it.
Might be that we (who have the problem) skipped a patch,
and now the download server is down ?

Hi all,

I wanted to start cRPG today, and
the game crashed right after I joined a server.
I can see the scene loaded, then I get an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
dialog showing up.

This is the crpg.log I get:
(There's a nice access violation at the bottom.)

When I click Repair in the launcher, I receive No mirrors left at the middle of the download process:

Could anyone give any suggestions regarding this issue ?

EDIT:
I tried with disabled Anti-Virus (shouldn't be a problem, I never had this problem before).
I am going to try a few other things, will report if I find something.

And please do something with 4 people dueling against 1 enemy, and forcingletting the other 30 (dead) player watch them for 3 minutes,
because they attack each other in turns, like on duel server.

You can see many old players (in rotations) if you join, but most of them play rarely.
I get bored relatively fast, too, with only 24 players online in average, in peak time.
Hopefully population doesn't go below the current level..

M:BG will not be released until 2016, so we may have some time,
later this year, when neither of the games is playable.

Could you sum up what your post is asking in a couple sentences? If its about googe ads I believe they tried it briefly but its too expensive

I meant that because the game is the spiritual successor of cRPG, they should make the mod itself more known, which would
indirectly draw some attention, since you can actually try it, unlike Melee:BG.

The thing I want to say is, that maybe you should draw attention to cRPG, again.
An ad-hoc idea: I don't know the legal side of that, but try to sell Warband using cRPG.
Warband is still selling on sales for good reasons, people know about it, unlike about cRPG.
I think with proper marketing, Google Ads, etc. it would be possible to change that.

I dream of a world, where if I ask someone: did you play cRPG, then he answers: no, I did not.
Today, they simply don't know what is cRPG, but they know about shitty, cheaplooking indie games.

Then, when people know about this game, that has a history, then you can tell them that look guys,
we are making a sequel, and there will be a Kickstarter campaign sometimes in the future.
You can start the campaign when you measure a great activity on this forum, for example.

Debate?
Or am I just releasing some strange frustration in a silly way ?

P.S.: Is cRPG still developed yet ?

high riding + champion arabian + mw heavy lance ftw (nice retro build :) )
few tips, how I play:
- watch your surroundings all the time,
- use couching lance by drifting sideway (not by going straight forward), so you cover a huge area + surprising for enemy
- use the break on your horse  :lol: a lot, keep changing your speed
- do quick slalom when you approach an archer head-on, he won't be able to hit you if you do it right
- join gk

now reinstalling vga drivers, will report back soon..

Anyway, I'm getting those 'Duplicate' warnings since 1-2 months, why is that ?

EDIT:
Reinstall drivers fixed it, I think CUDA Toolkits installed an older, wrong driver by default.

What about improving the animations and mechanics of
melee with hands just a little bit, similar to this:

ATTACKS:
Animations are already fine.
Both up attack (punch) and down attack (hook) can be blocked
by either up or down block. (so you can block a punch also with a down block)
Though, the down attack (hook) is slower and do more damage,
than the up attack (punch).
Left attack hits from left, right attack hits from right.

BLOCKING:
Animation of left block only blocks with left arm, and
right block only block with right arm, like in case of weapons,
mechanics is also similar to that.
Up and down block blocks frontal attacks, or
if your opponent does a side attack,
but it hits you from the front, then you have to do a frontal
block to deflect it.

So it works mainly like a weapon.
About the unusual frontal block:
We already have awlpike and long spear,
which can only attack one or two directions,
and shields blocking all directions,
so imho simplifying frontal block in the first run is bearable,
it won't feel cumbersome.

Lately with the latest patch I can no longer run WSE2. It either rubberbands indefinately or I iceskate around. This is on NA1 battle

Did you try to reinstall the mod ? (delete folder/clean install)
