But senpai, the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were aimed at military installations that were there, all the people were just collateral damage and were not the main target. That is a country making a war time decision to destroy military assets. 9/11 is an act of terror directly aimed at non militant civilians. That seems like a pretty huge difference to me.

As papa Dan Carlin says (http://www.dancarlin.com//disp.php/hharchive/Show-42---%28BLITZ%29-Logical-Insanity/Second%20World%20War-World%20War%20Two-World%20War%20One) there is logic behind dropping the atomic bombs, the insanity is war in general.

what am i doing posting this off topic shit here?

Realism Discussion / Re: Long Bow vs Yumi
« on: June 19, 2014, 02:33:07 pm »
50 pounds of draw weight lol.

An english longbow in the medieval period had a draw weight typically between 120-150 pounds, though there was one instance of a man drawing one with 200 pounds. There are very very few people who can actually use a longbow today because of the skill and massive strength you need to draw it. Children would practice from a very young age to use this weapon and skeletons found from this period had disfigured joints on the right shoulder, because to use a longbow repeatedly for such long periods of time would cause this damage.

This test is crap because it talks about pound to pound draw weight. Why would this matter? The longbow has far higher draw weight irl than yumi (who have between 30-75 pound draw weight) so would shoot further and faster and with more damage to the target. No longbowman would use a bow with 50 pound draw weight so this test is completely irrelavant to which bow is superior.

TLDR: Americans trying to study European and Asian history is stupid 90% of the time. If you believe this video I think you would love - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1281313/

General Discussion / Re: Current shielder meta

Playing shielder I have 3.4/1 KD which is the same I had playing polearms. Shielder is a really good class I think because you can fight multiple opponents easily. Also shielder is there to provide front line support - they can go into places where two handers/polearms would be cut down from 3 block directions at once.

If you have troubles fighting two handers and polearms I would advise to be patient and surprise them with range of right swing and stab. When they are distracted and on the defense you should push forward, striking left and overhead swings on them in quick timing.

Basically shielder is a very different style of play to 2h and polearm. You should not duel them where they have the advantage. You must be tactical about how you kill them.

Gen 1

I want Niuweido as a back up weapon after my lance.

Reason: I might be tempted to play more infantry and less cavalry.

One bought.
PS: 50,000 x 80 = 4 million gold, thats quite a cut you take above the standard price of 1.2 million. :)
