What's up with the weapon design in this game? It looks straight stupidly absurd, even for Asia.
Stupid cinematics does not give any info need more gameplay vids
games been out for months on consoles, just youtube itYe i checked already it looks good only if they make it same as console.
This is the best monster hunter. If you ever had some interest in the series this one is the one to start with.
I want to get into MH but everytime its just feels like a singleplayer/co-op instanced mmo grinder, very repetitive combat/quests. I heard this new "world" would be different like more open world than mission based, but I put in ~5 hours and felt exactly the same as the older MH I emulated couple years back, but with newer graphics & co-op.

Just hit high rank, i hear people get a lot of dc issues even in single player but i guess im fortunate. Just set my session to private and had 1 error at some point but the rest was clean. If you're using a Nvidia card, it's a bug and apparently rollback to the old version of the driver helps enourmously.
This game is really pushing me to get a new cpu though, i have some trashy settings running for smooth 60 now and its just barely holding on.

Beat the story final boss now too, it was a very comfortable fight with lance, as most things are. Just sit there and poke 'n parry. Vaal Hazak was a pain tho, next time im bringing some kind of resistance to his bs. Kushala Daora is bae tho, probably my fav. I would hope they add Tigrex or some other iconic monsters, so much potential.
Friendly reminder to buy the power- and armorcharm in the shop for permanent attack and def. boost.
And upgrade them with bagel goose talons
and then buying another power/armor charm to stack all 4.
Doing the endgame now, making a meta build. I have a bunch of Rarity 8/9 weapons and a few high rarity boss sets (I like wearing full sets for fashion), but I am gonna try making some actual builds. First one being a Sword and Shield blast build. Gonna need to grind a fuckton of decorations to make it work optimally though, not to mention augmenting that I haven't unlocked yet cuz rng.
Tempered monsters are no joke though, especially threat 2. Haven't unlocked threat 3.
I had the most trouble with Nergigante. It's a bit unintuitive to avoid the body slam attack by staying on the ground and using invulnerability frames instead of getting up to try and get out of the way.
Looks pretty dope. I made a 3 piece xeno for the set bonus to reduce sharpness usage, with xeno SnS which are solid. And 2 piece rathalos for elemental damage up on crits, i just need some proper jewels now to extend the sharpness a bit. Maybe i'll make that charm youre using but that means i would lose my Weakness exploit 3, unless i get a jewel.
Not really optimal i believe but i just scratched it together to make something with xeno parts because they look flashy. A bit too flashy, the damn head piece glows so bright with no options of bloom its almost an eyesore.
Next up is a proper support horn set, and then maybe when deviljho is out ill put more focus on lancing again. I gotta get the affinity booster too, shits op.
Get buff horn for your cat, best option when playing solo - or as 2 players.
Finally got to, and beat tempered kirin, shits a mess as melee. First round i got my bunghole split wide open. Second time was relatively smooth tho, lancing that stupid unicorn is nasty but fortunately the attacks are all blockable.
I do wide range, rec up and fast eat. Some fights im literally just chugging megas and crafting another 10 to keep people from carting. Its fun but it feels strange to just baby sit people to kill something for me.
Vaal hazak is the easiest dragon ever, i cant believe people die to him. But yeah multiplayer is kind of fun, some quests are just complete beatdowns when good players actually do simple things like flashing.
