Before patch, there were 2 maybe 3 lancers tops on EU1 each evening.

After patch, almost everyone is a lancer.


I have a message for you, players who respec into the most OP class after a patch.


You are the worst players of the mod, you are tryhards who feel the need to ab-use the most overpowered class after a patch, so you can increase your epeen.
You are the worst players of the mod, because you don't have a personallity, you just follow the mod.
You are the worst players of the mod, because when the heavy lance was shit, and very little people used it, you never said a word, yet now you enjoy the fruits.
You are the worst players of the mod, because you, and your epeen egoism, can and will never let the mod evolve, all you want is for your class to be overpowered and the most ab-usable.


I now regret lobbying for a h lance buff, I wish they could nerf it again.

Imo this started before patch that we see more cav again with tommy playing again and others. And I quite like it. Better more cav than only that thrower and xbow filth all over the place.

For the last month, before patch, the only steady lancers of eu1 were, Torben, Tommy, Oberyn, a new guy called Monkfight, Templar Scorpion, a couple of polish dudes and that was it.


Now, go and join EU1, you have at least 10 cav per team.

I think the important thing that we are not discussing here is the need to buff donkey throwers.  This is a class that has been overlooked for many patches.  Yes we get a few new donks to play with this patch which is awesome.  However, we need to see some thrower love.  Maybe increase throwing damage by 150% on donkeyback for starters.  I'm open to discussion so feel free to post any ideas you have on this here.

Lancers have been swarming on EU1 for months now. Didn't notice any difference when I played yesterday, but I heard there had been some cav stacking earlier though. Still I've seen Barabes, Templols and so on stack huge amounts of cavalry before as well so I doubt anything's really changed due to a 1p buff for heavy lance :rolleyes:

Buff 1h cav and bring back Royanss - no more lancers.

to me, the mod is looking like it was 4 years ago but without jump shot =p
there is tons of cavs(spécialy gay sb templars) like before
couch lance is still the hardest weapon to use =p
and people will need again to have a bamboo spear in his inventory like in old good times ...
cavs are pushing ppl to teamplay more imo...

Lost 80% myself to one hit from Telford yesterday when he was playing 1h cav (63 head armor, 9IF). There's a pretty decent counter for that though: blocking.

1H cav was the best way to deal with those spawnkilling GK lancer scrublords back in the days. Just wait at spawn and dismount all of them. Royanss often took on three lancers by himself and it was a proper counter. The recent buffs to light cavalry and lances has made 1h cavalry almost useless for that purpose which is why the lancer to 1h cav ratio has gone from about 1:1 to 9:1.

Not worried bro at the rate u can slow down a +3 courser while still having the couch down its retarded i mean i got a screenshot of me going like 30-3 in battle just couching with a great lance on a courser.

It's funny how they took no attention at all to suggestion corner and to what is happening on the server. Server was already full of lance/cav and almsot no 1h/cav, the only complain of cav in suggestion corner was that not armoured horses needed to be more resilient to ranged...  buff lance

I was told a couple days before patch that they would go back to making the heavy lance the most damaging one. I said it was a bad idea, that it would make other thrusting lances obsolete. Heck, that was why the tradeoff between length/dmg to lances was applied in the first place, there was never any reason not to use the heavy before that. I guess it makes sense from a "realistic" perspective that the heaviest lance would do the most dmg, but balance wise length+dmg is essential to cav, speed of the weapon not so much. Use of the horse is how you set up hits, not the weapon. Once you get used to thrusting speed timing is the important part, and being cav you get to determine when that is, usually.
