Title: 1 v 1 Tournament

Sign ups are hereby open and will be closing on July 30th. Only 64 participants will be entering. (First come first serve.)
It will begin July 31st, Friday at 7:00Pm EST
Hosted on Na_Crpg_8_Events server.
The password to the server will be: dupre

If your name is called and you fail to show up on time; your match will be postponed for 5-10 minutes and the tournament will continue while having you on standby. If you fail to show up after all fights in the current round of the tournament you will then be disqualified. (I will contact you via steam.)
The tournament will be one on one double elimination.
I will be hosting the tournament.
You may use masterwork equipment!

TOURNAMENT RULES
1) Add me on steam: JayJrod - YES, that is a rule! You can delete me after if you'd like.
2) No ranged weapons allowed. (That includes throwing weapons used as melee.)
3) No cavalry allowed.
4) Players must use a "skip the fun" character.
5) Stats must not be altered during a match. (You may change between matches.)
6) Equipment cost must be 30,000 gold or less. (No limit on weapons.) (Being 1 gold over will result in disqualification.)
7) The map will be taking place on Arena.
8) First participant to win three rounds will advance.
9) Entering the arena when you're not obligated to will result in a disqualification as well as a ban. (I'm willing to be lenient about this. Mistakes will be made.)
10) The item "Crowned Helm" will be considered a 7,000 gold cost item.
11) Be sure to have your character name exactly how it is spelled on the participant list. - Contact me if I spelled your name incorrectly.
12) No using crushthough weapons.
13) No using shields.

BONUS

We'll be doing a FREE FOR ALL to get things started at 7:00 Pm. (EST)
All 64 participants AND the spectators may join for this mini event.

Everyone will pick the top sided team. I (JayJrod) will be the only one on the bottom team. I will not be participating in the FFA. I will stand on a tower and watch you all kill one another! - this is to ensure the round does not end if one team all dies. (Do not attack me.)

Friendly fire is set to 100% damage.

There are no rules on teaming up with your friends. There can only be one victor though.

I shall announce that we are going to start the free for all. I will restart the map, then we will all enter the arena. Once the timer hits 14:30 it will begin (The map starts at 15:00 which means you'll have 30 seconds to get ready.) If anyone hits another player before the 14:30 mark, you will be banned from this tournament, and possibly future events.
You're allowed to hide all you want. - Come out of your hiding hole once you are of the top 10 survivalists.
Please do not press cntl + m.

We will be sticking to North American players only. (With the exception of players who play in Na frequently who do not live in Na.)

Europe should be having their own tournament around the same day as this one. - So, don't worry Eu peoples!

Seems like quite a stupid rule to be honest, i guess another way in which I think the CRPG tourneys suffer in comparison to native.. Native tourneys are weeks/months long and get good duelists to keep coming back and not forget how to play. I guess in native, EU and NA meta is the same at this point, there should be no reason an EU player can't enter a NA tourney and vice versa.

What's up guys, I'm pretty excited for this tournament! I hope you all enjoy the free for all too. I may or may not be able to attend (Not sure yet depends on the rules and how long everyone is willing to wait). These tournaments have been a real great deal to the community itself. The admins and JayJrod have stepped up their contribution to the community, Dupre selling loom-points; JayJrod working with the admins to setup rewards for the tournament; It should be everyones goal to kick their brackets ass and win, if you think you don't stand a chance, think again. A shame I missed the first round entirely... I really wanted to see that Beethoven vs. LUBU duel. Beethoven is one of my favorite battle buddies... I knew he'd put up a hell of a fight, wasn't sure if he'd grab a W though, must have been exciting to watch.

The free for all went very well. There were around ~60 participants.
Everyone obeyed the rules.
Joan of Arc ended up winning it. - He was part of an estimated 12 man group who swept out many of the independent players.

Well it depends on how you look at it, I suppose. If you want to know the odds that Miley faces a specific member of the remaining 15 players in round three, then it is a 1/15 chance. The odds that the pair of Miley and Allers are going to meet in that round are 1/8 I suppose, but really since it is all supposedly randomized I don't see why making pairs would be a good way to go about it, since that would require knowing that they'd meet there already. If you wanted to know the odds of them meeting in that exact pool, then it would be 1/8 * 1/7 = 1/56.

Also what happened to Name Engraved items?  They were one of the rewards from the first duel tourney.  Rather have one of those than another go-round with the crown tbh.
