100+ players pretty much guaranteed.
More casual, less serious.
You can play the flute, drums and piano.
Anyone else?

I find NW horrible. Surely if you like the nasty repetition of overhead and lower stabs (fucking bayonets), it is fun. But not so much if you have already grown tired of stabs due to a specific mod of a specific game.

I usually play seige and melee is fairly rare. If I want to go mellee I take an officer setup and go pistol and sword.

Played NW again in deathmatch and, oh holy god, there are so many players who can't play melee, you have to go to a melee battle server if you want to have a really challenge but it's most fun in a regiment playing a line battle with 20 vs. 20 or even siege with 30+ players then you have some quite epic moments.

Former member of the Fifth corps, now member of the Garde Consulaire, 8eme Chasseur à Cheval (dragoon regiment). In linebattles, its not a guaranteed 100 players, more like 140-180 :) and its pretty damn serious.

Lol last time I played NW I was alone against 12 and managed to kill all of them :mrgreen: just picked one of those lil knifes, they are all unable to block left spam lol.
After that round I was like "dafuq is dat" and quit

Most people in the game can't even block a normal stab. I've always been terrible at melee combat (hence the HA) but in NW even I can top servers just bayoneting.

This is true for certain pub servers, mostly the siege and roleplay ones.
But try that on the groupfighting servers (only inf or only cav ones) and you will face the elite of the community. There is some extraordinarly good players on NW, I dare say some are on par with our cRPG elite (chambering, instant blocks, kicks, ultra feinting...). In regimental/corps events, people are also playing more seriously and the level is above average.
If you stick with the pleb you will be bored pretty fast if you come from cRPG.

The NW RP serv has like 200 players on prime time on a regular basis plus otherwise atleast 100 players. And then the awesome Tropical Island server (64 player max but usually filled plus it's a fun free for all do whatever you want serv) is healthy too. And then jailbreak, line battle and all other servs.
I'd say Napoleonic War alongside PWMod are the only WB mods with a decently healthy community that's left. Unless I'm missing some other mod out there?

80% of NW activity is concentrated in the evening events (linebattles (team vs team) and 1v1). Rest is scattered on a few popular servers like the siege ones, roleplay, cav groupfight, infantry groupfight, tropical and a few others.
