Title: Rain indoors
Post by: Makelele on September 15, 2014, 08:11:47 pm
Anyone know how I can disable rain/snow in an indoor scene? At least the scene editor makes it possible for it to rain indoors.

Searching Taleworld forums revealed that there is some "tf_indoors"-flag that can be applied to mark an indoor area, but I have no idea how it would be placed or if the flag is for a single mesh or the whole scene. It certainly can't be placed within the editor itself, so it's probably controlled in some of the other files.

what do you referr as indoors? Most of the times the map makers come up with the craziest ideas for a ceiling; walls, planks, you name it. I dont think the game recognizes certain props as "anti rain", in other words, youre out of luck...

i may be wrong, ofc.

For my cage match map the ceiling is actually a table flipped upside down and enlarged like 100 times.

Sometimes maps use a barrel for a ceiling and barrels can for some reason have rain go thru it because screw physics freaking BS.
