Isn't the server limit 30 or something? I take it this server is for hosting tournaments and such?

So when there is an event and people want to watch, can you spectate without counting as the population. For example if there is a 10v10 going on and 20 people want to watch will only 10 spectators get in?
Is the server connected to the database?
Is it open to play on as a low-pop server when no events happen (like Tunatown in the good old days, please please please say yes and I will bear your children and make you pot pies every single day until you are old and grey)?
I thought the Event server was Community reincarnated, then came on here to realize its something even better

This thread section could use some organization and publicity. Perhaps Events should be separate from General Discussion and we can have subsections within Events for leagues/tournaments/servers(assuming EU gets an event server). What do you guys think is needed, so that we can really get events going?
Went on here last night and it was ridiculously fun playing commander mode. I would like to do that again. How do I do that?i will set it up for you get on :)
as an admin you will be able to host your own events any time you choose to(you will be expected to document it with a post in this thread) as long as it does not conflict with pre-scheduled events
example: event for two clans to scrim is scheduled at 8 P.M. and you want to do an event. plan on doing it before or after.

So are we able to make a clan scrim event, which by its very nature is exclusive? This kind of contradicts "allowing others into the event if they behave." Really any type of event, be it 2v2 or 3v3 with pre-determined players would be a hastle if we had to let everyone in if they just show up last minute. I am assuming it is okay to lock the server for these kind of events (assuming it is unlocked afterwards)?
if the event is something such as a clan vs clan scrim were others would not be permitted to participate: post it beforehand in this thread or a thread for it(such as the murrica clan thread for a clan scrim).
if it is something where an admin and his friends want to use the server to do something such as playing lord of the rings vs the bots, I just ask that you allow any players to participate unless it becomes too much of a hastle.

Event description: You get one chance at the 2v2 melee, no more, you lose you are out. Such is the life of a tournament fighter.
day/month/year of event: This coming week on Wednesday April 23rd at 6pm(forgiving a strategus battle should be called at this time for acre, in the event this occurs the tournament will be rescheduled.
time and timezone: 6:00pm est or at a later date if strategus intervenes
estimated duration of event: hopefully less than an hour if we moved at a good pace.
Prize pool: 120k CRPG gold. 80k to the winning team. 40k to the second place team.
The first team to enter the tournament will be King James and his former squire Arquus of Acre.

planning on having an event on wendsdays if there has not been any events for two weeks prior, so unless somebody else makes an event there will be one on Wednesday april seventh.
I plan on starting a league and posting the whole mess next Tuesday or Wednesday, I'm going to be busy this weekend and will not have a chance.

^ and if somebody wishes to start weekly events it is their choice to do so but it is not in my interest to do so at the moment. the server would most likely need to be bigger for scheduled weekly events.
Do I need to get this events section of the forums reorganized so we can get shit going? What's the deal? Once people start getting events and tournaments going, I think I'll try to start an NA league(possibly EU too, but I think Nessaj would need to manage that). For League winners, we'd probably give them special items that only they had access to.

1v1; 2v2; 3v3;... ; 10v10 or whatever.
Problem would be that, so I assume, many EU players would not be interested due to the higher ping.
So I just wanted to ask anybody who actually reads this section to ask around if there would be enough applicants for both sides.
Could that HRE server be tweaked to do the same thing? We could have something first held in NA, then held in EU to see the differences. :P
