I've only visited Boston, Washington D.C., New York City, and Toronto. Of these, DC or Toronto are the best to live. NYC has the craziest drivers I've ever experienced (coming from the tame upstate NY) and it just seems stressful.
The touristy areas of DC are really nice, but in the evening and night (all shops close around 5pm it seems) it got really ghetto really quickly. Vagrants literally everywhere. I really liked visiting, but wouldn't want to live there (well not at least in the downtown area, can't speak about the 'burbs which seemed pretty damn nice).
The best thing about D.C. was the urban feel, but with lots of green area, monuments, and museums. Two years ago the highlight of my summer was going to visit a friend in D.C. who was interning there. We rented bikes and traveled through the city hitting all the major attractions. From recent visits there, the nightlife seems pretty good too.
NYC was great, just extremely expensive to live in (ultra shitty apartments with high rent/food was unbelievably pricey).
Boston has been great too, minus the Boston accent.

17 and 1/2 gens of xbow and counting. Getting used to the bolt drops at distance took the longest time. That and trusting my aim.

I generally aim for enemy ranged because they are the easiest to hit at distance and are the most predictable in their behavior. Archers and xbows stand still before shooting allowing someone in a good, hidden spot (free from being shot at themselves) to patiently wait until they stop moving and snipe them. Melee I just shoot at when they are massed together and moving towards an objective. I just aim head level and cross my fingers.

EDIT: Also, drop the helmets and boots in strat battles. They only inhibit your ability to aim and are unnecessary in an organized battle. Make sure your body weight+4*(hand armor weight)<10 to not suffer accuracy penalties as well.

Both PS4 and X1 are too expensive for my tastes. Even so, most of their games I will already be able to play on my PC. The launch games are underwhelming and PS4 won't get many good games until next Spring at least. X1 has a better launch, but in the long run, it's just going to get PC multiplats so it's already done for me. Going to wait a few years to see if it's a better deal. I can't stand FPS on consoles.
Having tons of fun with my 3DS, so I don't have much use of a Wii U right now. I am currently waiting for a deal I can't pass up or when the next smash brothers comes out, whichever comes first. There's only a few games I want currently, but it's not enough to warrant a purchase, especially when there are many more 3DS games as well as my current PC backlog. I am looking forward to Bayonetta, X, Fire Emblem x SMT, etc. next year. Wonderful 101, Super Mario 3D World, and Pikmin 3 I may get if I find them cheap.
The only problems I have are that I generally hate playing any FPS on the PC (it feels unnatural after years of using a controller) and most of my friends prefer Xbox Live over PC gaming. If any genre defining games (like CoD2, CoD:MW, and Halo:CE) are planned to be released soon, I will probably end up buying the Xbox One.

Heavy round too slow in my opinion. I always preferred the knightly heater shield when playing on my 1h shielder. However, I have recently come to realize that the best shield is by far the leather covered round shield. It is currently the only shield I use anymore since its so damn sexy.(click to show/hide)
I would pay good money to see this shield buffed to the ~4 shield difficulty tier. The model is too dang fine for its current low requirement (read: low usefulness) placing.

I stand by my decision if you want a fast shield. Just look at the stats. You trade 2 body armor for 25 hit points and gain 11 height. It may not look pretty, but for a fast shield it's the best.

The main issue at least in this case is he nudges while that animaiton is going, drops a spear and a 1 hander appears in his hand and it is already swinging at you. You never see the weapon switch or any start of the 1 hand swing about to hit you. Very difficult to block and then he picks back up the spear to hoplite and do it again when he wishes.Wait, you don't notice the 300 length pike disappear from his hands?
