Title: Change Multiplier To One Up One Down, Not Back To x1 At Loss
Post by: 1slander on February 04, 2011, 06:39:21 pm
Multiplier needs to be changed where when you lose the battle you lose x1 of a multiplier not the whole thing.  This is insane.  So carrying a x4 multiplier would drop you to x3 after a loss, not back down to x1.

Not a bad idea at first glance. It would put more of a focus on having fun, rather than staring at the multiplier.

I had similar idea but then i realized that im lvl 31 and i got there pretty fast. At my current lvl xp goes up really slow and that was intended so there is no point to raise xp flow...

x5 should be something you have to work for.  not something you can balance and stay at by only winning every other round once you are there

Player would gain much more money and i really dont want to play on a plate and steel shield server again,
it is fine and we dont need to change the multiplier system.

I'd we go down by 2 instead of 1

If we'd go down by 2 instead of 1

Every win +1 to multiplier MAX 5
Every lose -2 to the multiplier MIN 1

I like
you'd only really notice the difference if you managed to win 4 games in a row kind of giving you a safety point once you reach 4 or 5 wins in a row.

The current system is the best, with only -1 multiplier for a defeat people won't care too much and won't struggle to win.

This is actually a better system as he suggested.  Mine was just throwing it out there.  But yes, I do think it needs to change personally.  As in it going down x2 per loss.

Saying people won't be trying to win so hard?  I get team switched so much half the time wtf?  I am stable with a group, we are slaying, then suddenly I am swapped to the losing team and the team work is gone.  Lose the multiplier and am back to x1.  You can troll flame all you want, but there is enough people who htink a change is needed, if not a small change, whatever.

Left as it is I feel it's broken.

I vote No. You lose, go back to start.

I think if autobalance stays the way it is, the multiplier loss would be more fair at -2 per loss. As it is now, I feel like sometimes the stacking is the most deciding factor in games.

+3 for -2x per loss

I was actually thinking about this myself earlier today. -2x per loss does sound much better though.

Coming from someone who is pretty new to this, losing that multiplier completely after a win streak makes me want to just cut my losses and quit for a while. If it was just -2x I'd definitely stick with it longer.
