Title: Is retirement worth it?
Post by: Tristan_of_Erzoth on September 18, 2011, 08:38:42 pm
Hello all, I just recently hit level 31, and was wondering, is retirement worth it?

Just be sure you heirloom something you like to use, and can stick with.

Or you can sell the loompoint, if you are one of those people, but I would never sell my hard work of a gen, until I have everything I need heirlooming-wise.

Yes, yes! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3ALwKeSEYs&feature=related), it's definitely worth it if you're gonna max out an heirloom, it's just a pain leveling up again...

I find it to be worth it, not for the gen or the bonuses, but simply because I like trying out new builds and actually enjoy not being level 30/31.  I feel that trying new builds on my main is different than trying them on alts, though I'm not really sure why.  I do know I have alts who are way better at certain things than my main is, even with the same build.  (Especially my one-hander.  Braeden sucks at 1h fighting.)

if you should think about retiring,  ask experienced players what items to loome.

atm,  i can highly recommend medium hand armor.

Yes it is several times, i advise you to heirloom body armour or gloves/gauntlets first, weapons later.

have fun.

Don't retire if you just play the game casually imo. However, if you plan on playing this game for the long haul... Start that heirlooming!

Just keep respecing to stay under level 25 and build up a huge warchest of gold as you ride a plated charger with black plate every round for free, then buy heirlooms with all that free gold.
