I'm totally fine with night time and dark atmosphere. Would like special clock in game. From 6:00 PM to 12:00 PM constant daylight without rain. 12:01 AM to 5:59 PM should be reserved for special effects like night, rain, fog, orange mist and other visual enhancers. It is kinda unfair to working, normal people because they would miss out all the grandiose effects but who cares about workers. It is important that people who know how to enjoy get to play game in all the glory.

something like 4h-6h plus a short night is the idea, it will depend on how annoying/forgiving the night is, but I would prefer rather short nights nonetheless

Wow, that's long... So we're not very likely to see different day times in one play session.
I had thought like 1 realtime hour = 24h ingame

Is 1:1 time scale considered? Might not be the best solution gameplay wise but immersion is guaranteed.

And what's the point of that? Given you're playing each day at the same time you'd say the same daytime ingame every time.

I would have thought a day would last 30 minutes or so.  Give it spring hours, so its always 3/4 daytime, with maybe 2 minutes too dark to fight.  Then you can take a piss break or fap or whatever you need to do- or sneak into a town or run away and hide.

Then you can plan sieges for when the sun is in the archers' eyes etc.

Doesn't work! Trying to play Pokémon Gold on my Gameboy Colour was impossible because it was permanently night time. I have enough fucking HootHoots thank you very much.

The worst fate possible in gold/silver, I feel for you... at least my noctowl was pretty baller.


2013, I learn that Sentret and Ledyba can be caught early in the game

Damn, I just realized I literally never learned what I could catch instead of hoot hoots... I always assumed the place would be swarming with something equally boring like pidgeys instead.

Complete freedom. I really mean it. They are giving us advice when we ask for it. But their job is selling the game. Our job is making it.
one could argue that they know less about the game than you do. but in a good way
