I'm about to buy Battlefield 4, any negative opinions about the game itself?

It's decent, likeable maps but damn if you've played BF3 you realize it's worse than COD in terms of adding new weapons. Atleast the difference between each COD is newer weapons. BF3 and BF4 had the exact same weapons with 1-2 new ones or so.

But i'd say get it.

Its only worthy of the number 4 if your on console and finally getting 64 players. For us glorious pc gamers its simply DLC, only even more overpriced than normal.

if you REALLY like bf3 than it might be worth it to you.

source: played bf4 beta, own bf3 (also tried bf3 on console once, it was a traumatic experience with only 16 players or something)

last interesting BF was BF2 - with coop-mode, bots, etc.

If you enjoy the graphics and lots of highly unrealistic modern pewpew on multiplayer: go get it.

Otherwise: save the money.

Single player is rather meh - stupid 'Murica propaganda movie turned into a game... fixed save points, no noteworthy decisions, replay-worth: zero.

Classic game to pirate: play once, marvel the funny details of the engine (frostbite 3 and the destruction mechanics - still quite something to look at), and uninstall...
Hermit Status report : feeling a little social. Threatening melee my old friends with a comeback. Greasing the string of his old longbow. Carving certain names into the tips of his arrows...

don't waste your cash.

I did like BF3 and absolutley hated BF4, I sold my Origin account and never looked back.
And now he can't play because of "common sense" and he doesn't understand how this common sense works
