 Catapults
   1. Boost HP and armor (so u can destroy it only with axes and not with arrows and swords)
   2. Add multiplier for the long-range shot - hit from the catas which is right up to the wall does damage at times less than a shot from the edge of map

 Ladders
   1. Boost armor (so u can destroy it only with axes )

 Archers and Xbowman on the walls
   1. All rangers gays as always

 Siedge towers, ramp
  1. Boost HP and armor (so u can destroy it only with axes and by shoot from cata but atleast 4-6 shoots and not 1)
  2. U need atleast 2 man by 1 from each side to move it

realy nice suggestions but i somehow didnt see them when UIF was on defence  :rolleyes:

siege tower is crap nowdays....hmmm it always was crap
enemies can move it with 1 click like it have disle engine inside, it is so big target then it is hard to miss it with catapult(even for noobs)

But concerning catapult damage: The closer you are, the more damage you should do. Therefore: Risk v reward. Closer, and easier to kill, for quicker kills versus slower wall destruction for a safer catapult...

We destroyed Samarra's wall in few minutes after we built the cata just under it. But, yes, im most cases it would be destroyed right after it was build.

Same as with 1/3 rule

Keep the 1/3 rule, but cap it so that you can attack anything with ~1500 troops.
It's totally bullshit to be forced to attack a castle with 3000 troops and lose them all, while only 1800 got killed.

And maybe increase the catapult damage by max 25% if you're right next to the wall. And reduce it ~25 - 50% when you're so far that archers can't hit the catapult reliably, I know the "archer range" is not very accurate, but you get the point. + outside the archer range it's really easy to build multiple catapults and they don't really need anyone guarding them besides the ones actually operating them.

And about siege towers. It takes quite a long time to break them with melee weapons, so I think HP-wise they are fine against melee. But I do agree that the siege tower shouldn't break from the fist 2 hits from a catapult, not because of realism but because of balance. Building a siege tower takes much longer than building a catapult = when the siege tower is built, the defenders probably (if they are smart) have their catapult already done as well + it should be aimed for the the siege tower too.
Also building a siege tower means that almost everyone on the attacking team is carrying const.mat while defenders only need 2 people to build the catapult.


And ladders are fine as they are IMO.

Just to add in regards to ladders... The reason they are fine as they are is cause they are already really damn good against unprepared defenders; if you make them stronger than they are... there would be no reason to ever use anything but ladders.
