XP nerf, post-update

I actually think the patch fixed a lot with the gameplay, and I appreciate the quick response chadz.

The XP nerf might have been too much though, as advancement beyond level 22 is VERY slow now without having a x5 modifier, which doesn't really happen that often on a server where autobalance is working properly. It feels slower than level advancement was pre-patch. If that was your intention, great. But I don't think it was. Perhaps a happy medium of 1250 base would bring XP more in line with what you originally envisioned.

I approve of Heroin, and his message. Getting to lvl 27 was pain in the a**, as i was mostly on the loser team, and i was gaining last 100k exp for like, dunno, ages, as 1200/minute is not that much :S

i think that chadz said that his aim in releasing new patch was to advance in lvls very slow as you go higher and higher

Really skilled people are still soaring thru this game while the rest hope to get good enough to even hit them. Keep the xp down and make lvl caps higher.

And the x4-x5 modifiers are becoming really rare now as most maps are 3 wins and switch to new map, at least on the na 120.

Exp is pretty slow now. Grinding up to level 28 is going to take me some time. Today I've only gotten up to x2 multiplier which doesn't help either. I'm also rather annoyed that having retired twice pre-patch I don't seem to be getting any exp bonus at all? Unless its being secretly added without telling me on the exp/gold messages  :?

I started at level 26 and I'm already at 28 with just a few casual evenings of play. Obviously the journey to my more or less final goal of 31 is going to take a while longer than that, but TBH I dunno what you guys are complaining about.
Don't.

I dont see are problem if lvl25-30 last longer.
You wont see a lvl 32-33 guy  for a very long time.

So if you need some time got get to 30 its no problem cause
everybody else wont be much higher -> Softcap

Level 30 requires 4420577 xp.
1k xp per minute minimum.
60 minutes in an hour.
74 hours from level 1 to level 30.

If you win a single round in that time, it goes faster.  12 minutes at x5 counts for a full hour.

All in all, I don' t feel it is that bad at all.

Indeed, casual player or hardcore grinder it's not some impossible task.
