NA_3 still a laggy POS

It's like trying to fight in a pool of maple syrup, most blocks go unregistered (for both parties) and it seems like disconnections are becoming more and more prominent (I don't DC myself, but a lot of people have been complaining of it.)

Perhaps a reset of the server is in order?  It seems like this has been an issue in the past.

yeah it has been great for a while... but this last fight was pretty bad. Being hit without even seeing the swing Knowing you were out of range and getting hit anyway. Some of my swings not releasing.

Its not just NA3, EU3 is now the same way since their last patch.  You add chinese armors or a bunch of siege gear and you are fucked.  You literally take 5 seconds to complete a swing halfway through a battle.  Server lag with the new patch has become atrocious.

Maybe the problem is heavily influenced by higher pings (talking 60-100 or some shit), because at a steady 30 ping I notice no server lag at all. God knows how Atlanta pings 30ms to Chicago, but thank the good lord that it does.

No I am steady 30 ping too, it is definitely server side and I have heard it repeatedly from others on both eu and na.

My ping is 30 and I haven't felt any delay or lag in strat battles since the most recent patches. I have, however, witnessed many people with decent ping complain of delay in NA and EU 3. This is definately something that should be looked into.

Instead I get stuck with 90+ because somehow Chicago is the "fairest" place in America to host a server.

From Los Angeles to Chicago is around 2000 miles or 3219 km.
From Los Angeles to Atlanta is around 2,177 miles or 3503 km.

Essentially its an east coast server for me, if it was based in Texas I'd be very happy to donate but as it stands I have no desire to give out my money so east coasters can ping crutch.

Yeah, I'd agree that Chicago is a rather unfair place to host a server. Dallas or Houston would be much, much better for almost everyone. I don't think that Canuckians would enjoy it too much, though.

You just said Dallas or Houston would be much, much better... but then also explained exactly how it really is not. There are a lot of Canadians playing this mod (LCO anyone?). If you want something better for all NA then try something actually central... if only Americans actually lived in the centre of their country and could have a really good host in Nebraska or Iowa or something that would be about equal distance from Cali, Quebec, east coast and texas.

I have 40 ping from Wisconsin.... But I have no lag at all

I don't lag in the server when it is set to duels but I get horrific lag during strat battles once they get over a certain amount of people. Ping stays low around 30-40 but I rubberband around and lag a lot anyways.

I need to do that a lot more and also get to the bottom of this conspiracy, I bet Canary was siphoning my internet so he could try to get a ping of 1.
