Not looking promising.... Zombie AI still fucked up and hitboxes still seem off. Thou better then the last devblog thats for sure.

The crouch walking animations (and hopping over the fence at the beginning) look ridiculous, I swear the "physics" seem like they're on par with Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six from 1999.  And like Tiberius said, the zombie AI is just re-fucking-tarded.  They spaz out and literally jump 10 feet at a time.  Seems just like the DayZ mod for Arma 2. The zombies zig zagging and flying all over like deer on crack was one of the main reasons I disliked DayZ.  I grew up playing FPS games, and consider myself to be very good at lining up shots in any FPS I've ever played, but trying to hit the zombies as they run towards you was a joke.

Also, it's spelled DEV blog, not DEEV, so pronounce it correctly.  mmkay?

The jumping animation is definitely ridiculous. Amazed they have kept it in this long. The zig-zagging is no where near as bad as it was with the mod though.

Definitely some good stuff here. They really need to tweak how many shots it takes to destroy a piece of equipment there though.

I played only 40 hours of dayz. I absolutely loved the concept, but felt it needed alot of work in terms of endgame and such. the more info about standalone comes out the more my faith in rocket plummets from the sky (pun intended).

instead of redesigning the game, they seem to be just adding in lots of pointless fluff like all sorts of different clothing, and taking literal years to do so. and rockets ideas about underground bases are so fucking stupid, huge technical challenge with no real payoff.

its hard to believe this crap is coming from the same guy who made the original mod, which was regularly patching in simple but meaningful gameplay features. the opposite to "lets take 2 years to add different coloured jumpers". I guess some of the tech/server side stuff is needed to stop it being a hackfest. but really the direction of the game seems to have got really muddled from the original concept imo.

I played it a shitton and enjoyed it. Sure it needs alot of polishing and its the only MMO Zombie Survival game for now.

Still suprised they didnt port over to ARMA 3 and went for ARMA 2 engine.
