When I start it up it asks me from which of two options I want to boot, both of them end up with the top left quarter of the blue windows login screen from where I can't do shit. Safe mode doesn't even work anymore. Anyway, I'll bring it in at some shop one of these days.

Lol, Try reinstall windows derp, can't believe its taken you a month already! I can send you a windows disc (any version) with a valid code, you will be up and running in no time.
